About the Author

Annie Bell spent several years as food writer for Vogue. She is currently the main food writer for the Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine, and is a contributor to Country Living and Waitrose Food Illustrated. She has been featured on National Public Radio and in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune and numerous newspapers and websites in the US. I assumed a cookbook written by a British baker would have metric measurements. It does not. All measurements are in Cups and Tablespoons and the like. She does explain that tsp & Tbl should be slightly rounded, but I could not find anything in the book re how she measures her flour or possible conversions to use. I was disappointed as I find weight to be a much more accurate way to measure for baking. I did try the Napket Banana Bread recipe. It was okay, nothing special. This is a large book, with lots of photos of the finished products, a definite plus.
