Annie's dad wasn't very good at decorating, but with Henry's help that would change!,
This review is from: Annie and Snowball and the Prettiest House (Annie and Snowball Ready-to-Read, Level 2) (Paperback)
Annie was a very lucky girl. She lived next door to her cousin Henry, her best friend in the whole world. They each had a pet. She had Snowball, a bunny, and he had a great big goofy dog named Mudge. They did all kinds of things together. They played Frisbee, tied knots and painted her dollhouse. Annie and Henry were always nice to each other and Annie just "LOVED Mudge." Things can't get much better than that, but there was one thing that bothered Annie. It was the fact that she didn't have a very pretty house. Her dad "wasn't very good at making things very pretty."
Clean and nice somehow wasn't enough. Flowers in a coffee can was nice, but . . . Annie "wanted pretty." One day when they were talking about this Henry told her that there were "tons of pretty things" in the attic that she could borrow. WOW! Now that sounded like something she would love and visions started to dance in her head. After getting permission they went up to the attic. There was a pink lamp, a crazy quilt and a flowery patterned chair. Everything was so beautiful, but would her dad let her "change their plain house to a pretty house?" This is a charming story, perhaps one a child being raised by a single parent could relate to. Sometimes children don't always know how to say how they feel about things to their parents or care givers. The illustrations were bright, cheerful and action oriented. This is and will remain a popular book you won't want to overlook. This is a Level 2 "Ready-To-Read" book that children will be able to read independently. If you have flowers in a coffee can you might be able to take some decorating lessons from Annie!

A great little story,
This review is from: Annie and Snowball and the Prettiest House (Ready-To-Read Annie & Snowball - Level 2) (Hardcover)
My son has loved Henry and Mudge for years, but my daughter only wanted to read the ones with Annie in it. So now she loves the all Annie books.
