This boot runs a little small in the foot and a LOT BIG in the calf. I ended up returning it because I could fit my arm inside the calf almost up to my elbow with the boot on. The description didn't mention that it was for larger calves, but it should have. For the benefit of those reading this my calves are about 15" around so that you have a frame of reference as to whether or not this boot might work for you. Also, I am not crazy about the "antiqued" look of the material it is made of, but some might like it.

Very quick shipping! These boots fit very well along the upper calf if you have large calves. If you have skinny to normal sized legs, these boots might be a little too loose. The material of the boot feels like there is some padding to it so it may keep your legs insulated on colder days. Overall, I'm very pleased with these boots for the price paid.

I have to agree that the color is just a little different than expected. I ordered these particular boots because the reviews said the calves were too wide for most and I have muscular calves myself. The opening at the top is a little wide, but the rest of the calf fit perfectly with pants underneath. I'm not super tall, so the width at the top of the boot may just be for someone with longer legs. The width of the foot seems a little narrow, but the length is spot on; I ordered a wide because of the previous reviews and they fit great.
Overall, VERY happy with the purchase and received them in literally 2 days.

For big Calves,

I got these b/c they looked elegant on the photo. Unfortunately, they are huge on the calve. My calves are on the smaller size so they looked horrible on. Also it didn't fit snuggly on my legs like other boots I have. They were also slippery when I walked on my apartment floor. B/c it's not real leather, it felt firm and not something that would form to your legs like other boots I have. I have returned them.

Other reveiwers were right, these are really a funky fit. I swear they are made for giant sumo wrestlers. They are being returned.
