This review is from: Max and Annie's Mysterious Campfire (Hardcover)
Written by Sandra J. Philipson and illustrated by Robert Takatch, Max And Annie's Mysterious Campfire is a thoroughly charming, warmly illustrated, "kid friendly" picture book about a pair of quick-witted dogs in the desert. When Max confronts a local bully at a mysterious campfire, he learns how dangerous hostile strangers can be; with Annie's help, he must use his head to save himself and the spirit of the campfire. This is highly recommended as an engaging tale filled with appealing, full-color artwork of likeable animal characters.
