5.0 out of 5 stars Annies People Pack, vols. 13 ( Annies People)
It seems every Beverly Lewis book I read I can't put down. This book takes you to Lancaster, Pa. where the Amish people live. You get a warm feeling reading Lewis's books and this one is no different. Lewis takes you into the hearts and homes of the Amish and makes you feel like if these characters were real you would want to meet them and get to know them. All Beverly...

Another excellent Amish series. Since I am a Preacher's Daughter (though of the Methodist faith) I could somewhat relate to Annie's problems. Beverly lewis certainly knows the Amish and brings great knowledge and interesting stories in her books.

I have always been a fan of Beverly Lewis' writing. She has a way of making you feel like you are right there alongside her characters. This trilogy was no different, I loved it! I'm glad I got the trilogy as a set because as soon as I put one down, I was ready to pick the next one up and this way there was no waiting!

Like all the other Beverly Lewis books this collection is just as wonderful. I read the three books back to back within a week and was sorry when I reached the last word in the third book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hey what?, May 23, 2011
This review is from: Annie's People, Vols. 1-3 (The Preacher's Daughter, The Englisher, and The Brethren) (Paperback)
A little boy goes missing --- and no one reports it to the police!

A body is dug up in a field. The police aren't told --- and neither is the owner of the field!

Beverly Lewis again takes us into the Amish community with another page turner I couldn't put down. I like the clues she weaves into her stories so that the reader knows things before the characters do, but there is a major clue in chapter 9 of the 3rd book, The Brethren, that gets overlooked by everyone. I kept expecting it to come up, as it logically should have, but it is never mentioned again, so I'm left to conclude the author forgot it was there, as did all the characters who knew about it.
