Product Description

The Number One Bestseling Science Fiction Series has reduced the price of the first book in time for the holidays. This series is Space Opera at its finest. All seven books in the series have been number one bestsellers at Amazon's Science Fiction Series. The following review describes the series well:

This review is from: Annihilation: Love Conquers All
I was amazed at Saxon's beautiful re-creation of some of the best Golden Age SF. There just wasn't enough of it written. Modern authors usually don't or won’t get into the spirit of a good Space Opera. Saxon has real heroes (smart ones, great space battles, grand alien empires and bad guys you can love).
He has it all. The characters are pure types. They are also powerful. What really made this book great was the marvelous style. His pacing and scene cutting remind me of E.R. Burroughs. Sharp! Fast paced and quick, the battle scenes remind me of Drake. I am so grateful to read a book that is not dripping PC (sorry PC police!). A true blast from the past, I cannot wait to read the rest of the series. I only wish more authors had the ability and courage to write like this. E.E Smith would be proud.

A young boy born with unique psychic abilities.
An ancient alien artifact he accidently discovers.
Now Earth is targeted for total annihilation by 50,000 warships.

In this epic story, Saxon Andrew takes us into the future and the lives of human and nonhuman characters, some we can easily relate to, and others who are a bit different. Along with a hearty dose of battles and spaceships, this is a story that offers humor and a tale of enduring love against the backdrop of galactic war on a grand scale. The following is an excerpt from the book:

Admiral Dorg sat in his command chair on board the Alliance Flagship War Weapon and watched as his fleet was destroying the humans’ ships. He heard his bridge crew cheering but he couldn’t help thinking, “This is too easy. This fleet couldn’t have defeated our ships at the Human Colony World.”

Then he said, “Communications, put a picture of one of those human ships that was just destroyed on my display.” A picture of a small ship suddenly appeared on his console. He looked at it for a minute and then pulled up a picture of the small human ship that had killed two heavy cruisers. He put it next to the ship that had just been destroyed; they looked nothing alike. His internal alarms went off at full blast; he stood and yelled, “Order the fleet back into formation!” His crew stopped cheering and looked at him like he was crazy. “Do it now; we’re being set up for a trap!” His crew hesitated, looking at each other for just a moment, and then started issuing orders, but that small hesitation proved fatal; the human fleet ripped into the Alliance ships like a tsunami.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just Couldn't Read It, June 19, 2011

This one popped up on my Recommended list and, being short on books to devour, I gave it a shot. Sadly, I couldn't make it more than a few pages in. The writing style and dialogue are so jarring that all i could focus on were the words. Every time I tried to immerse myself in the story, I only made it a sentence or two before another juvenile phrase snapped me out of it again. The excerpt in the product description is pretty much all you need to read to understand.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time and money, July 5, 2011
This review is from: Annihilation - Love Conquers All (Annihilation Series (book One)) (Kindle Edition)
Despite a mediocre premiss this book was ultimately a waste of my time and money (even a the cheap $3 price tag). This story reads like bad fan fiction with 2 dimensional characters given god like powers. The worst part however was the dialog, every character spoke with the same ridiculous voice and were constantly making logic leaps that even Asimov would be embarrassed to use.

I generally like reading new sci-fiction and always enjoy an epic story, but this was so bad that at times I felt like beating my head agents a wall. Please don't waste your time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Bother, June 28, 2011

This review is from: Annihilation - Love Conquers All (Annihilation Series (book One)) (Kindle Edition)
I have seen several recent situations where authors received 4 or 5 star ratings, but it appears to be self promotion. This series is a prime example. There is no "science " in this fiction. There is also no character development, plot, or marginally believable interaction between persons, especially when alien cultures come together. Imagine a 10,000 year old race of warriors, whose entire history is based on militarization and might makes right. It comes into contact with humans, and in a single dialogue which sounds much like a kindergarten teacher lecture, the entire race sees that its entire history is wrong and they should just love one another. The next thing you know, over 800 other races unanimously renounce the evils of their 100,000 year empire and submit themselves too. I normally do not slam authors because I know it's tough to compete, especially with authors like David Webber taking disproportionate shares of shelf space. But books like these, when the author or his friends are clearly manipulating the system to sell grossly inferior products need to be outed. These books are just poorly written in every sense of the term. I've read plenty of "low-cost" and even free books that are far superior to this. Do yourself a favor and skip this series.

More About the Author

I am a former coach and classroom teacher that really enjoyed the teaching experience. I have also worked for a major corporation and owned my own business. I am also a brand new author. I decided to sit down one day about three years ago and write a science fiction story. I have loved science fiction my entire life and have read so many books from the great masters that have shaped my view of the cosmos. My wife urged me to give it a go because she felt I was a great story teller and that others might enjoy my rather over active imagination. The first book was Annihilation - love Conquers All. Before I knew it, five books had found their way on to my laptop. I allowed friends to read them and the response was overwhelming. I decided to publish them on Amazon Kindle. I have discovered a few things since.

I found out that there were thousands that enjoyed the books and bought all three of the first trilogy making all three books best sellers on Amazon. I also discovered that there were others that pointed out that I have a lot to learn about "writing style". I agree with them. I am a work in progress. However, my intent is to entertain and produce a story that keeps the reader turning pages. I write so that young adults can enjoy the story. I keep it clean so that parents wouldn't mind their teens reading my books. I want science fiction fans like myself to stay up all night trying to finish the story. I write like I speak. I do recognize that I have some work ahead to become a more accomplished writer but the only way to grow is to continue writing. I have also discovered that I do have a passion to provide books for those that enjoy my stories. I do hope that I never get so caught up in style that I lose the ability to produce an entertaining story.

There, you're warned. Now hold on to your seat and get into the Annihilation Series. Have I got a story for you.

Saxon Andrew is the number one best selling author of the Annihilation Series. He lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife and has two new books due to be published in 2011.
