It's refreshing to see a good short story collection from undiscovered talent. This is an excellent compliation. My particular favorite was "Dodd" by Melanie Haney. She's very evocative, and you get a glimpse of a compassionate spirit behind the work.

This book is one in a series featuring the international winners of the prestigious Writer's Digest Top 25 Award. Each one is a prime example of great short story writing. My particular favorite was Rachel Draker's "Uninvited"- I found myself thinking about her work far after I read it.
