I am currently in the process of an annulment and have found this book very helpful and practical to use. It is very straightforward and easy to follow. It is a great resource for the process involved in accurately upholding canon law while undergoing a rigorous and often painful healing process. I found the steps clear and concise. I also found the thought provoking questions very useful in my writing.

I found the book helpful and it encouraged me to start the process of annulment from a long ago divorce. It look a lot of the fear or trepidition out of it. It is written in a factual and straight to the point style. That is good. Unfortunately, I found that my Archdiocese required additional documentation than specified in the book, but I had most of my documents because I had read the book first. Also, my Archdiocese requires a sponsor from the parish who does a lot of this stuff for you. Don't get me wrong, the book is good if you want a general idea because you are in the considering stages, but much of what I learned in this book I had to re-look up on the Archdiocese website for requirements specific to my area when it came time to filling out the petition. My Archdiocese also had really good and clear guidelines as to what grounds were applicable in regards to cannon law, and how to translate that into practical evaluation for your case. So, while I prefer the Archdiocese website, I'd still recommend the book if you are in the 'inquiry' phase of annulment.
