Just received these as a gift. We've been using cheaper sets for the last 10 years and finally decided to go for a more-than-$75-set to ensure we aren't replacing every couple of years!

These are amazing! I'm quite impressed with the weight of each knife and plan on adding the steak set to compliment it. The block is made of bamboo and has a unique, classy look to it.

I've cut some pretty standard stuff... (Fruit, meat, chicken, and bread), but can't believe the huge difference between these and my "chef's choice" set.

These knives are quite good indeed. As many other folks, we have used old stamped knives for all our lives and when Macy's had great sale we decided to buy this set. I could not believe the difference. They cut everything like soft butter. The knife just glides right through.

This set is great for many reasons. While other sets include sheers that look like cheesy scissors, this one has a real thick, serious, metal sheers. Every handle is so convenient, and really nice to hold in your hand. It does not slip like the plastic or wooden or synthetic handles on other knives.

Every knife is well balanced. My favorite is the 6" utility, while my wife likes the santoku.

The bamboo block is really nicely done. Even though this set is made in China, the steel is German Chrome Molybdenum Vanadium; overall quality of packaging, materials, and build is outstanding. If you do not want to spend hundreds of dollars, this set is $170 very well spent.

This set of knives was replacing an older set. They are so comportable to use and the grip helps to keep my hands from slipping. I am only sorry that I waited so long.

I just bought this and this set is a quality piece of cutlery. Very well worth the purchase. Excellent!
