Great for Soups, March 1, 2005
This review is from: Anolon Advanced 3-Piece Set (Kitchen)
This is my first decent stockpot. Previously, I used cheap second hand aluminum or thin steel pots, with expected results: rice sticking and burning to the bottom, ruined soups, and time wasted scouring bottoms. Enough was enough, so I invested in this wonderful pot. I looked for a vessel with a durable non-stick coating, moderate capacity, which was heavy enough to distribute heat uniformly.
In two weeks, I've made jambalaya, gumbo, and turkey pot pie. All have turned out wonderfully with no clumps of burnt rice on the bottom, no odd tastes, and plenty of healthy home cooked goodness. The size is just right for my small household: 2 soup-loving adults, yet is small enough to fit under the water faucet. Cleanup has been easy: wiping off with a soapy sponge and rinsing; no-stick indeed. The provided insert is convenient for cooking pasta. The soft, insulated handles are a welcome touch.
To sum up, this stockpot gets my hearty recommendation. It's well worth the price.

Anolon cokware, September 27, 2005

I have used analon cookware since 1997. The handle came off one of the saucepans. Before I could return it, my husband tossed it out. I replaced the saucepan and purchased some additional items. They arrived in great condition and in a timely manner. I have used the pots and they have met my expectations. I would like to order some of the other accessories.
