The materials used in the item seem to be heavy duty, and it looks nice and fits well in the hand. The swivel blade, so far, peels carrots and potatoes as well as a much more expensive Swiss peeler that my wife has.

But, upon receipt of the peeler, I noticed that the blade was "floating" around loose in the package. The "arch" of the blade holder at the tip of the handle had not been compressed enough at the factory to hold the blade in place.

But, instead of returning it, I put the main part of the peeler in a padded vise, and then reset the swivel blade back into the end of the peeler, bending the tip of the peeler back down into place, with a pair of vise grips, to hold the blade in its two small holes. So far that seems to have solved the problem.
