The Analon Advanced Classic Cutlery Set comes with a 5-inch Santoku knife and that felt too small to me. The 7-inch Santoku knife feels "just right".

This is my husband, the breakfast chef's, knife. I got it for him to distinguish it from my Calphalon chef's knife. Turns out I think his is a bit better. One time we were at a party of a chef friend's house and turns out he used that himself so I felt I made a good choice. Very sharp and like the rubber handle.

This is my favorite knife. I'm not a chef, or a cook, or anything like that. I'm just some schmuck who likes to cook sometimes and who wants a sharp, well-balanced knife that does the job. This is that knife. I think I'll get one for my mom.
