I bought these elsewhere and was impressed. Extremely sturdy and durable, they can clip through chicken bones and I plan to use them in the garden for clipping roots etc. I had the older version of Cutco kitchen shears, which I loved but I lost them. But the Cutco were like scissors and were not a tool of choice for cutting up chicken or the tough stuff. So I recommend giving these a try. They are rather heavy, however, so if if you have hand weakness or dexterity problems they are probably not for you.

These shears have a nice heft and, have a thick appearance. They also cut through chicken carcasses easily. It's also not difficult to take them apart for cleaning and, are just as easily put back together. Just reconnect them at the junction and, put the spring back into the corresponding hole. It connects permanently to the other shear.
The handles are covered with a soft rubber like substance which helps guard against your hand slipping while you cut.

I would recommend them to anyone needing a pair of poultry shears.
