Great knife, especially for the price. I have an older Anolon 8" Chef's knife that I have used for years and it has proven to be an excellent knife. I purchased a number of new Anolon knives to complement the existing 8" Chef's knife. The new Anolon knives are also of the same quality, albeit a bit lighter and thinner. That said, Anolon knives used to come with a plastic/nylon protective sheath that was extremely useful and helped protect the blade. Unfortunately the new Anolon knives no longer come with sheaths and Anolon no longer makes them. The knife itself is 5 stars, but it only gets 4 stars as the description is incorrect and the knife does not come with a protective sheath, which I was expecting (and very much wanted) as the description stated it was included.

Anolon Bronze Collection Classic Cutlery 7.5-inch Kyotsu

I previously bought the "little sister" 5.5 inch Kyotsu and was so pleased I went looking for a larger one.

It has not dissapointed in the least!!! The "other" best cutting knife my wife has to use making salads as well as cutting a roast.

I would be much surprised if ANYONE would be dissapointed with this product; well worth the price.....it actually lives up to it's promise in every way.

I purchases this knife a little skeptic about the quality based on the price. While the blade had a little ding it it (why a 4 and not a 5) it did not affect the use. The knife is super sharp so you should handle with care. It cuts nicely and is not real heavy. I have medium size hands and the knife fits perfectly. I prefer the round shape handle to square ones as arthiritis is creeping in and it easier to grip. If would recommend this knife and you can't beat the price.
