Perfect for a meatloaf recipe with 2 pounds of meat. Something (the size information)that I could never find online. Happy to pass on this info to you.

Really, to make a nearly greaseless meatloaf, using 2 pounds of ground beef or a combination of ground meats, this is the perfect piece of equipment. I really love this combo pan. Hopefully, you will too.

Wow, this really made meat loaf much healthier since the fat drains down and away. The non-stick feature really works! I had dropped some of the glaze on the perimeter of the pan and it baked on and turned black. It cleaned away with ease; in fact, washing the pan was a breeze. The pan set itself is somewhat heavy and feels very durable. I wish I had bought this sooner as my husband loves meat loaf but I haven't made it often due to the fat sitting in the pan. That problem has now been eliminated! I would not hesitate in purchasing this pan. This has been a pleasant experience. I am sure I will be using this pan for years to come. Happy Cooking!

A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PAN SO I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY IT. I LOVE IT! IT IS BIG ENOUGH FOR A 2 LB. LOAF, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DRAINING THE GREASE OFF. I HAVE BEEN MARRIED FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST ITEMS I HAVE. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT IT SOONER.

I purchased 4 of these during the "4 for 3" price break. I make large quantities of meatloaf and had been using large bake pans for a long time. I'd turn the pan and drain the grease from the corner before adding glaze the last ten minutes.

I recently discovered the Anolon line and love their knives and pans so no hesitation on this grease draining system.

The rubber handles are generous sized and grab your pot holder very well.

I used the cheaper 73% meat since you pay so much for less fat, I figured I could save money with these pans. Boy did the grease drain out!!! The meatloaf came out wonderful. I did not have to change the baking time on my recipe, because I tested it with a cooking thermometer which I use when ever I cook meat. So the two layer pan makes no difference. BTW, you can only fit 3 of these into an oven at one time because of the extra length of the handles.

When I took them out I discovered there is a huge challenge to using these safely. When the are hot from the oven, and heavy from the meatloaf, and you are using pot holders to try to raise the insert out to serve, you can not grab the inner pan!!!!

The edges of both pans are exactly the same shape and sit snugly on top of each other. This is a huge design flaw in my opinion. For the money - these should be easy to handle, not just coming out of the oven, but pulling the meatloaf out. I had to have a second set of hands use a spatula to wedge in between the pans and lift a little so I could grab it with my potholders. This was not an easy task, and it kept falling back down. I used a Teflon safe spatula because the non-stick surface does scratch and damage is not covered by the warranty.

The only thing this set needs to be perfect is a side set of handles on the pan that holds the meat. Anolon, are you listening?

But the label is also misleading. It says "Dishwasher Safe". But the Cleaning directions say hand washing is better. And the Warranty says that damage due to "use of automatic dish washers are not covered by this Guarantee"

So just a few areas need improvement, like side handles on the meat pan and clear directions. Other than than that, this is a great set.

Overall, I don't know of a better product - but since this is so hard to use- only 4 stars.

Grease, or rather the lack of it.

The product worked as promised. Great first loaf. Nothing greasy about it.

The pan/insert combo is a solid product, not some flimsy metal thing. Superb quality. Well worth the price.

My only advice: For easier clean up, spray the bottom pan with a non-stick product or (even better) line it with foil. I just carefully lift the foil liner out, make a little packet/pouch of it and put it in the freezer till trash day.

Tip: In fact, I freeze anything I want to pitch that can't go down the disposal. No slop, no odors. Trash day - gone.

I bought the meatloaf pan to replace a pan which had cracked and flaking Teflon. I was amazed at the weight and quality of this plan. I use the pan for meatloafs and breads. It's really a joy to use.

I had one of those cheaper meatloaf pans from one of the catalogs. It worked until it rusted! So I knew the concept worked and that the meatloaf was wonderful, that I could feel good about serving it to my family and know that the fat was reduced. Well I tossed the rusty pan went online and started my search, I found this pan and it was at a department store, or so I thought! When I went there they didn't sell this pan in store but I was able to see the quality of the brand. So I went home and ordered it that day. Well the day it got here I made a meatloaf. What a difference! This pan drained more of the fat, the meatload didn't stick to the pan at all. If you are looking for a meatloaf pan, this is a good and solid pan!

So THIS is how people who make that nice,easy-slicing good-in-sandwiches meatloaf do it. Drains all the grease out and leaves in the flavor of good lean hamburger (no matter what grade you use). Stick with beef, though...not the loaf pan you want for ground turkey or chicken,which has almost no fat content to begin with. The recipe it comes with is really good no matter what kind of meat you use.

Used this pan for a year and it was great. But now the coating on the inside is peeling. Must throw it away. If this is going to happen with the pans, I'd recommend buying a cheaper pan and then just tossing it out after a year.

This anolon meat loaf pan set is great! I've been using these types of pans for years. It keeps the meat from sitting in the yucky grease!!! And, Macy's deliver was prompt.
