A rare feature among hard-anodized cookware, Anolon Titanium is actually dishwasher-safe. However, it offers cooks many advantages long before cleanup time. Constructed of extra-thick aluminum, these heavy pots and pans conduct heat quickly and uniformly (no hot spots) and won't warp. Their handsome, charcoal-gray exterior is harder than steel and resists scratching and denting. Inside, they're coated with DuPont's exceptionally durable Autograph nonstick that readily releases food. Stainless-steel handles have an attractive satin-finish. The handles are rounded for comfort, hollow to stay cool on the stovetop, oven-safe to 500 degrees F, and have hanging holes. This classic, slope-sided, 8-inch skillet is perfect for frying an egg or pan-roasting a hunk of halibut.
Unlike conventional hard-anodized pots and pans, this cookware is dishwasher-safe because its titanium-composite exterior is nonporous. Nevertheless, its virtue of being dishwasher-safe is not unlimited. To prevent pots and pans from discoloring in a dishwasher over time--and to prevent voiding the lifetime warranty against defects--the manufacturer's cleaning instructions about water temperature (120 to 140 degrees F) and detergent (mild, with a phosphate content less that 7-1/2 percent) must be strictly observed. I have been cooking heavily for family and friends, as well as professionally, for going on 20 years now. I recently re-outfitted my kitchen and I have been experimenting with various cooking surfaces, utensil finishes, and product designs (it's a hobby of mine to play in the kitchen). This is one little gem of a skillet. Although it has Titanium in the product name, that is the FINISH of the pan, not the material from which it is constructed. In other words, don't expect to get a light pan, as this sucker weighs a ton! Its heat distribution is nicely diffused throughout the cooking surface, and its non-stick surface is of suitably high quality to make this an every-day utility pan.
As a side note, this pan single-handedly brought my girlfriend back into the kitchen, as she now enjoys making fried eggs in it. The sides are gently sloped, so flipping omelets is a snap. This little honey seldom leaves the top of the stove; it has become the favorite kitchen pan.

Heavy nonstick pan for serious cooks,

If you like a pan with substantial weight, this is the pan for you. I love to cook in mine because it has the best qualities of cast iron (slow, even heating) but it is also perfectly nonstick. Cleans dreamily so far in the dishwasher.

Just about Perfect,

Superior to everything I have bought to date. The non-stick interior is more non-stick, the exterior doesn't get discolored like regular hard-anodized, and the handle stays cooler than other all-aluminum handles. And the whole thing is attractive too. Definitely the Cadillac of pans.
I would like to replace all my stuff with Anolon stuff, but the rest of the Anolon Titanium series is very expensive. My Calphalon stuff will just have to do for a while.
