Anolon Titanium Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 10-Inch Open French Skillet

I've been using this skillet for a couple of weeks now and it is just AWESOME! It uses Dupont's highest-quality Teflon "Silverstone" coating and it really works. One of the greatest things about it is that you truly can cook alot of foods without any oil at all: I've been making scrambled eggs every morning by throwing the eggs and ham in the pan w/nothing else, and they just flip right out when you're done with very little residue left over to wipe out. Same with pancakes.

One thing that took getting used to is that it's alot heavier than the aluminum saute pan that I used to use, so it takes quite a bit longer to heat up and responds more slowly to changes in the flame. And it also takes more wrist action to muscle around. The upside, of course, is that the heat is very even and it's worked great for slowly simmering thick sauces. Another downside is that this does NOT include a lid, but my glass 6 qt saucepan lid fits acceptably.

I think the titanium aspect, while technically valid, is mostly marketing hype. Apparently it's a thin coating on the exterior - not cooking surface - that's supposed to prevent discoloration in the dishwasher, but I can't imagine you'd ever need more vigorous cleaning than rinsing it out in the sink.

This would be the perfect fry pan for me if it wasnt for the somewhat rounded bottom. The pan rocks toward the heavy handle, causing the oil to puddle to that side. If you have a gas stove this is probably not a problem because of the way the cast iron "fingers" support the pan over the flame. But if your have a glass top stove or an electric with the standard spiraled type element, I'd recomend getting a different pan.

I just love my analon titanium. Cooks evenly, goes in the oven, excellent nonstick, and has the world's most comfortable handles. If you're like me, all-clad handles dig into your hands painfully. These handles nestle stably in your palms.

I first discovered Analon Titanium (restaurant tested) fry pans in Macy's. They only had an 8 inch model, which I purchased as it is perfect for making a personal omelet. They are heavy gauge aluminum clad in titanium on the bottom and have completely steel handles unlike the lower grade of Analon which look very similar but have silicone rubber handle grips. As such, the metal handles are much better for popping a meal into the oven after initially frying/browning it on the stove. The nonstick coating is very high grade as well.

I have three sizes of these skillets. I love all of them. You cook without oil. The clean up is great. Every thing is cooked on med to low heat. They are wounderful. I would tell anyone to buy them.

We know have 2 10 inch Analon Titanium skillets. We like them all very much. We had some earlier analon skillets and they are very good, but the titanium series is better. An earlier Anolon skillet still is non-stick but is starting to lose something. The titanium does not seem to be losing it. Great skillets.

This type pan is great for eggs, and small food prep items for the home. Have had it for months and just can not seem to wear it our. I give it about 5 or 10 years and then see if it is worn out. It performs just as the mfg states so. Plain and simple. I highly recommend it. A good size too

A very good addition to the home supply of pans and skillets. There is a nice heft to the pan, it heats evenly (though, like most relatively heavy pans, it takes a while to get up to full temperature), and the cooking surface is non-stick, but without the ultra-slippery "plastic" feel that some non-stick pans have. Add to that the fact that it can go in the dishwasher, and it makes for a very good pan.

Heats super evenly, non-stick works fantastic, dishwasher safe as long as you use the right detergent. It doesn't get any better than that!
