What can I say, this is a great piece of cookware.
It can be used as a stirfry, shallow casserole, large skillett and verious other uses.
The instructions that came with this item, and any other hard-anodized cookware that I've bought all warn against useing them on high or excessive heat, low to medium heat only.
I have several other pieces of Anolon cookware and they all perform very well.

I had been looking for a braiser for quite a while when I found this one. Cost was a major factor in not having purchased one earlier. I decided to buy this one after reading the positive reviews. It worked great, and for a fraction of what you'd pay in most stores. It's not heavy, and it's balanced well so it's easy to put in/remove from the oven. My short ribs turned out perfectly! Definitely worth purchasing.

After "test driving" this pan nearly everyday for a year, I was so impressed, I purchased several additional pieces (the 12pc. set, 6qt. stock pot and 8qt. wide stock pot).
In addition to braising, it easily doubles as an "everything" pan because of it's size (great multi-purpose choice for apartment dwellers). I hand wash most of the time (see other review) and clean up is a breeze.

I'm disappointed with with item because the sides are sloped such that the bottom of the pan is only 9.5 inches in diameter. Otherwise, I found it to heat evenly with good nonstick properties. I decided to keep it but it won't be as versatile as I originally intended.

I have been looking for a 10-13" skillet/braiser that will remain flat on my electric flat cooktop. After reading all the descriptions-page after page, I thought the Anolon Titanium would do the trick;however, after one(1) heat up on high to fry some hamburger, I had a pan that wobble terribly on its middle point(right where Anolon stamps its logo). One can whirl the pan on this point with ease. This product may be great for the gas cooktop, but do not get it if you want a flat bottom pan for your electric cooktop. The handles stayed cool and had a good grip feel and balance for carrying and cooking.

I love this pan! The versatility is great. I love being able to quickly sear something on the stovetop and then put it into the oven to braise. The size is wonderful for making large portions of food, so I can serve some now, and have planned leftovers for those nights when there's no time to cook. The sloped sides are almost wok-like, and make stir-fry a breeze. I hand-wash the pan, and it remains beautiful. I do throw the lid in the dishwasher. I've had this pan for a couple of years now, and it's one of the first ones I reach for when cooking.

I bought this Braiser for myself. It is perfect for a commercial stove as the handles are metal and will not melt.
