Book Description

NOW AVAILABLE: BEYOND ANON, THE THRILLING SEQUEL TO ANON (Print & Kindle eBook).

Rory Ellison, victim of his own misdeeds, wallows in misery. Then a door opens. Now he's got a new job, a dream assignment to rewrite the darkest mistake of his past, and a strange new companion in his head. Wielding powers beyond his comprehension and control, Rory returns to …

… Faith. She possesses the perfect husband, kids, and home. But when Rory falls back into her world, old wounds open wide, shattering her ideal life.

At the center of the mayhem stands Anon, a seemingly benevolent organization with a sinister past of its own. "Helping you realize your dreams sooner," the company promises. But what do they stand to gain? How far will they go to get what they want? And if they make dreams a reality, what about nightmares?

Only Michelle, a young girl with a strange gift, can defeat the evil threatening her family. But she must face fear, work with the ghosts of her enemy's past, navigate a maze of terror, and make the tough choice to grow up too soon in a world filled with evil and indifference.

Hold on tight! Anon—a tale of corporate and familial terror—is unlike anything you've ever read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breathtaking, original horror January 4, 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
About a corporation that has infiltrated a community down to their very dreams, placing Anon in context with current events makes it both a timely and chilling tale. Giglio captures the edge of corporate doublespeak while contrasting this culture with the story of a family in turmoil. This delicate balance provides us with heroes that we can root for even as the villains show nuances not often present in this genre. A fascinating read and highly recommended to fellow horror fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars MIDNIGHT STREET REVIEW September 30, 2011
Format:Paperback
ANON - Peter Giglio

This is outstanding. The story builds relentlessly to a riveting finale, made possible by the measured, gradually escalating pace of the novel. There are twists and turns that will make your head spin until you realise what's behind them and appreciate the awesome power of `Anon', a mysterious corporation that operates at a level where those caught in its web become pawns in an insidious game that seeks to dominate and control all those with whom it comes into contact.
The dialogue is expertly handled, allowing the reader, along with the protagonists to be gradually drawn into a bizarre, unnerving and unsettling world. Yet, the human stories are equally well developed. This is what raises the novel to a level above what it might have been in less skilled hands, making it frighteningly believable. There are undercurrents here that parallel the more unscrupulous practices of corporate business. The `X Files' mantra: `Trust No-one' comes to mind, as do the recent shenanigans of the world's bankers.
It's been a while since I've read anything that has impressed me this much, particularly in the world of the independents. Peter Giglio is most definitely one to watch. I understand that he has recently had a new book, `A Spark in the Darkness' published. Definitely worth checking out at: [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Novel I've read in years! February 5, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
All I can say is "Thank you!" Once I started, it really hurt to stop reading, for any reason. If you like gripping, non-stop GO in your reading material, then Anon is the book for you.
With twists of the paranormal, supernatural, religion, and a new breed of corporate corruption: Anon delivers much more than most. This is not a book that will be archived on my Kindle, Anon has a permanent place on my digital bookshelves.
I'm afraid if I started in on everything I loved about this book, that I would give too much away. I want to know what Faith and Michelle do next! And will we, the hanging readers with baited breath, ever get to know?
If there was a 6 star rating, I would definitely give it for Anon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Read February 20, 2012

Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Anon. I'm not quite sure what to say about this book. It is a familiar, yet unfamiliar tale of horror that I have come across many times, but never in this manner. Reading about something that is supposed to terrorize your mind is a lot different from movies or games. You're left to paint the scenario with the words of the author as your palette; your mind smearing each adjective onto the canvas to create a nightmare of your own.

Peter Giglio conjures up a story of something that I often wonder about corporate businesses: whether their true intentions are something to be held in high regard or held in fear. Anon embodies a good-willed financial company on the outside, its goal is to make your dreams come true. And to those who puppeteer the institution from behind closed doors, that goal is just a pretense for something more sinister.

When I first got through it, I was a little put off. My worst fear had come true. I didn't get it. Did I miss something? I had to backtrack into the last few chapters to really soak in what I had just read. To be bombarded with explanations, left with questions of what happened to the characters -- it was overwhelming. Why did this happen?

Then I began to appreciate it when I thought about the story -- the manner in which the book concluded in the final pages. It had been planned that way. It just made a segue for more speculation on the sequel that Peter Giglio has planned for his characters and for the corporation that is Anon.

Admittedly, this was a hard book for me to read. It was a different writing style, mixed in with different perspectives and characters that it was sometimes difficult to keep tabs on who's who at times. There is also an element of the supernatural in here, which at first was a little strange.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Different Sort of Horror April 24, 2012

I really liked how the author melded different aspects of the genre in this great paced horror novel. This has a thriller type plot mingled with the horrific. Great work!

5.0 out of 5 stars A true horror story March 23, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Absolutely scary.I started off the novel by liking the main character, Rory. As the novel progressed, I began to dislike him extremely, only to have everything I thought he was about turned on it's head. The whole twin concept was especially intriguing, and creepy at the same time. I still can't get those orange glowing eyes out of my mind. Giglio created a true horror story that scares me, but that's why I love this genre!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, Intelligent Horror at it's Finest July 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read Anon a few weeks back and thought, wow what a brilliant piece of work. The story is engaging, captivating, emotional and dark; very, very dark. I was planning of writing a review and promptly got caught up in other projects. Anon stuck with me, in the back of my head, letting me know it was there so I went back and read a few of the reviews to refresh my memory. If I don't take notes, it's gone a gift from the brain surgery Gods. Read the reviews and was thrown by one of the comments in particular. So I reread Anon and I was blown away again. Parts of this book were so vivid and so wild, I thought I was reading Bentley Little.

The story seems confusing, but it really isn't if you just pay attention to the details. This story is intelligent, expertly crafted, and if you take the time, you will appreciate the genius of Peter Giglio's work.

Rory works for Anon, a growing financial company and soon discovers that his inept, slovenly and simian-like neighbour will become his boss. We discover Heather, an ex-wife and Faith an ex- girlfriend and are told about the past relationships and Rory's part in them. Soon, Rory is on a trajectory not of his making and careening out of control taking various people along with him.
