I WAS SO HAPPY WHEN I FOUND THAT I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE THIS DUO CD!!!! I HAD THE ORIGINAL RELEASES ON VINYL AND THEY WERE ALL EVENTUALLY EITHER STOLDEN OR DAMAGED...I GREW UP LOVING THE RICH VOCAL SOUND AND WISDOM THAT LES MCCANN PROJECTS IN THE MUSIC THAT HE HAS RECORDED. HIS TALENT KNOWS NO BOUNDRIES, AND IS REFECTED IN HIS MUSIC. THE RELEASE ANOTHER BEGINNING WAS THE FIRST ALBUM OF LES MCCANN'S I EVER PURCHASED, AND IT HELPED ME THROUGH MANY YEARS OF HEART ACHES AND LOSS OF LOVE. AFTER THAT I BOUGHT EVERY RELEASE I COULD FIND WHICH FEATURED LES MCCANN ON VOCALS! MY GREATEST DESIRE IS TO SEE LES MCCANN PREFORM LIVE, A WISH I HAVE NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO FULLFILL.

Great choir backing,

If you love songs that feature great backing choirs there may be no better song recorded than "When it's Over" on the first of these two discs. The song is in no hurry and it builds and builds until the full choir and Les' cool baritone are at an emotional high. You won't be disappointed in the rest of the songs but this one in particular may be his best studio effort.
