4.0 out of 5 stars A unique sort of disco!
First of all, the horns employed carrying out "Another Cha-Cha" confer a unique quality on this song, and I like this song quite a lot due to its latinized disco aroma; having said that, I think the last 2 minutes are too repetitious. I really thought this was going to knock my socks off but there's only one song worth it's weight. The rest was very disappointing. Don't buy the CD....not worth it.

First of all, the horns employed carrying out "Another Cha-Cha" confer a unique quality on this song, and I like this song quite a lot due to its latinized disco aroma; having said that, I think the last 2 minutes are too repetitious. I came across this song, for the first time, almost a year ago in CD form (from the "Gay Classics") which includes that song in a duration slightly over 11 minutes (the CD's cover claiming it to be a "full lengh version" - obviously the producers of this CD hadn't done their homework good enough) only to run into - much to my surprise - the authentic 14 minutes version just recently!

The songs "Generation" and "Answer" are very good - I'm crazy about how a rather danceable tempo is set off alternating with a slower, calmer tempo. They struck a chord in me immediately (I haven't heard them until lately). "Back to the beginning" is nice and lovely although it doesn't turn me on since ballads aren't my favorites.

I recommend this album to any music afficionado who hasn't heard yet this album or the two songs mentioned in the previous paragraph and would like to enjoy a mildly sweet blend of latin flavor with off-the-mainstream disco. Yeah, if only there were a time tunnel...

I love the way that Santa Esmeralda compose their music. It is always in suite form but at the same time it is a wonderful musical journey. I never thought it would be released on cd. I was lucky enough to have it on cassette back in the early 80's.
