More About the Author

I have been writing since fifth grade, anytime I could find a quiet corner and prop a notebook on my knees. Even if I couldn't find the time or place, I always-always-always kept writing in my head. I tried to give it up more than once, even shredding a knee-high stack of poems and story starts. In time, I always go back to it because it brings me a unique sort of joy - the kind that springs from deep inside. Over the years, I've had a few nice responses from traditional publishers and a semi promise twice ... though I now know those aren't worth the paper they're not printed on. I was feeling pretty discouraged when a friend sent me an ad for self publishing on the Internet. Since I had quit my job to write full time (in spite of the fact that we were ranked with the working poor even while I was working) the 'no cost' factor caught my eye! I thought about it for awhile ... I had written more than 20 books and it looked as if they would all disappear when I did. Why not introduce all those characters via the Internet and give them a chance to survive? So here I am - Christian, wife, mother, grandma, author! I'm working hard to edit those books in the hope that readers will find a message that inspires them to delve into the best Book of all. I don't know you, but I know He loves you, and that's what my books are about. Blessings!

This is a tangled web of truth, lies, and secrets. When Anna comes to Casey's Institute, she has no idea what she's in for. This book has the reader so entangled in its spiderweb of intrigue that you can't put it down! It kept me up until 3 in the morning, and then kept me reading the minute I got up. A fun, engrossing story!

I just read my first Diane Adams book! And from the get-go, Diane sets the reader off on a journey of one woman as she struggles with her inner self and finds a second chance to find love on her way to an interview. Real life occurs here with all it's ups and downs...not your usual "predictable" novel.I enjoyed the read and will be reading more of this author!!

I couldn't believe how immature the lady was. She had grown children, but I felt her character was a 15 year old.

It was like she came from somewhere that was extremely harsh and was brought up to despise men. She didn't realize that a man and a woman could be friends, colleagues, acquaintances, etc. The only thing a man did was lie and anytime he was with any woman he was taking advantage of her. Note that the book was dull in protraying this. My comments have more emotions than the book did.

She also rarely owned up to her issues or responsibilities. She didn't like lying and judged others for it, but she lied all the time (especially about her feelings) and she kept secrets. She initiated kisses, but said the man kissed her.

The book was just frustrating to read.

This is really a 2.5, but you can't give half stars.

The narration is excellent and Portraying of Anna's character is appreciated. This book keeps the readers focused in the story, as the story progress, you will find an intrinsic urge to read the entire book in one go. Diane Adams is at the best in this book, I appreciate the author in bringing out this wonderful, fun filled creative work.

Diane Adams is creative, yet realistic. The events in her book could happen, yet they are not predictable because they are woven with intrigue. The characters so draw you into the story that you can hardly wait to see what will happen next. I look forward to reading more of her books on Kindle.

This book has a lot of elements I like in a story. It's the start of a true, real love. It's free from hot & heavy scenes. It has some secrets to be revealed, and some tension & surprises.

But.

The way our heroine reasons through her trouble, jumps to conclusions, and then knows "in her heart" her conclusion is true makes me distinctly uncomfortable. (She seemed to be wrong much of the time.) One of her conclusions is that she bore some blame for "encouraging" some of the men she had dated to try to take advantage of her . . . when it's patently clear from her character that that would be the LAST thing she would do. Besides that, if a woman says "no," then no it is . . . no matter HOW she has behaved up to that point. Whether or not her preceding behavior was wise is another matter. But a man forcing his attentions on a woman is something he chooses to do. Not something she coerces him into. And legal precedent backs me up on that one.

And, while I'm Christian, & I loved the doctrines of grace & forgiveness that were woven into the story, there was a sometimes-present flavor of religiosity that felt disconnected from God.

So, if you're a mature person, firm in your well-developed understanding of women's rights and logic, then jump in and enjoy as much as you can. But I would NOT recommend this book to young readers. I shudder to think that any of my girls would reason through things the way our heroine did . . . or put themselves into the situations she did. It could spell serious disaster in the real world.

`Another Chance A Christian Romance' is an enjoyable read, even if the interaction between Anna Brown and Dr. Michael Grant was immediate and seemingly out of character for the Dr. Grant character--however that was part of the charm in this love story of two mature people.

Anna Brown earns your respect early on and I eagerly awaited the next challenge for this independent and persistent character.Part of her charm is her inherent ability to do the exact opposite of her instructions--but always for a good reason. Loved the relationship Anna built with the animals.

The pace of the story was excellent, and the author saved Dr. Grant's story until late in the book. Such a pure love story is welcomed today in this world of harsh realities. Personally, I think we need more realistic yet charming love stories like this one. Well done, Diane Adams.

This was my first Diane Adams book. In addition to having a unique story line, it brings out the pivotal role that emotional intelligence plays in the success of the main male character in his leadership of the institution where much of the setting takes place, as well as in the romance. All in all, this is a book with some depth to it.
