Very Informative, very inspiring book. A must read!, July 10, 2008
This review is from: Another Door to Learning: True Stories of Learning Disable Children and Adults, and the Keys to Their Success (Paperback)
This is a great book for anyone needing an in-depth source of information regarding learning disabilities. The eleven stories within the book follow people, young and old, each with different aspects of a learning disability and how they managed to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. For myself, I learned a great deal more about learning disabilities (that LD can affect both the language and the spatial systems), and that there are individuals that have learned to go through life masking the fact that they couldn't read or couldn't figure out direction regarding where their bodies were in space and time. I was deeply moved by all of the stories, as I am sure that anyone reading this book will also be. Great book!
