5.0 out of 5 stars "Another Jesus ?", April 22, 2009

There are some denominations that veer off from the Truth of the Bible and this author makes known and clarifies the deceptions going on in the doctrines of one major denomination. A "must read" for true Christians and those who are looking for truth in their beliefs, that it be according to the Scriptures in the Bible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the Read!, January 2, 2010
This review is from: Another Jesus: The eucharist christ and the new evangelization (Paperback)
Having been a Catholic, I was curious to what would be presented in this book by Mr. Oakland and Tetlow. The supporting documentation presented is enough to show that the Eucharistic Christ is a position which the church accepts. They also provided the scripture verses on which the church bases their belief in the Eucharist being the actual body & blood of Christ and that the Church sees it as a requirement in salvation. In order for you to make a judgment on this the alternate position has to be explored, which is what they also provide you. The Eucharist is not the actual body & blood of Christ, but is to be used in remembrance of Our Lord's sacrifice and also not a requirement for being saved. They readily provide scripture supporting this as well. So reader, go for it. Might open your eyes about a few things which we have a tendency to over look. It is well worth the read! That's why I gave it 5 stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Transubstantiation Is Heretical, September 30, 2009

Roger Oakland will be rewarded in his Biblical refutation of the Catholic belief in Transubstantiation in this book. Anyone who believes that taking communion is ACTUALLY eating and drinking the flesh and blood of Christ is deceived and taking the verses out of context. To think otherwise would infer that Christ never needed to die on the cross once for the sins of believers. Thus changing the work of Christ on the cross into a false works-based faith instead of believing in the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ alone for remission of sins.

Communion is to be done in rememberance of His sacrifice and is not to be made a common thing as the Catholic church has done by "transubstantiation" and taking it too frequently.

Acts 8:36,37: And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
