For Love or Loyalty, February 18, 2007
This review is from: In Another Man's Bed (Paperback)
All appearances indicate that Andrew and Justine Crandall have the perfect life in Francis Ray's In Another Man's Bed. They are young, attractive and successful entrepreneurs. Justine's decision to surprise Andrew while away on a trip, proves to be most surprising for her. She enters her home to discover him in their marital bed with another woman. After confronting him, she flees from their home only to have him follow her at break-neck speed, which ends in a car crash. The crash leaves Andrew comatose and Justine in the position of `Standing by her Man,' though he has done her wrong.
For several months, Justine sits at Andrew's bedside faithfully. Her heart no longer belongs to her husband, but due to loyalty to Andrew and his mother Beverly, she feels it is the right thing to do. What she had not planned for was the reappearance of her childhood sweetheart, Dalton Ramsey. As her feelings grow for Dalton, she struggles with her feelings of loyalty to her comatose husband and his mother. There is also her underlying struggle to place herself first, to not always do what is expected, but to embrace love of self.
Ms. Ray has written a classic romance with all the elements of love, loss and hope. In Another Man's Bed is a well-paced, fluid story that will keep the reader interested from the beginning to the end. There are enough surprises to keep the story flowing and from turning into a standard romance novel. I recommend this book to romance lovers and to anyone interested in reading a well-told story.

Obligation or Love Which One Would You Choose?, March 5, 2007
This review is from: In Another Man's Bed (Paperback)
Justine Crandall adores her husband, Andrew but both spend a lot of time promoting their perspective businesses. Justine told her husband to rest at the cabin but decides to surprise him. She makes the trip in record time, as she opened the bedroom door, she noticed her husband naked on the bed and the shadow of a woman entering the bathroom. Realizing his unfaithfulness, she said a few choice words and rushed to the car speeding away. Andrew quickly dressed and followed her. Minutes later he lost control of the car, severed and rolled down an embankment.
Justine saved Andrew's life but he would spend the next several months in a coma. Justine debated the suggestions from the doctor to unplug the life support against the pressure from Beverly (his mother) to spend every waking moment at the hospital. Justine's plight was further complicated when her high school sweetheart returns to town. Dalton is a best selling author that comes to sign at her bookstore. He makes it clear that he is willing to wait until she is ready but he desperately wants to shower her with love. Will she rekindle the flame with Dalton before saying a final farewell to Andrew?
Once again, Francis Ray has produced believable characters that have depth. IN ANOTHER MAN'S BED has a new twist on a romantic tale that you won't see coming. Treat yourself to a fast moving story involving lust, love, greed and forgiveness. Ray forced me to think about how far I would go for the sake of keeping a marriage together.

Well Done!, March 18, 2007
This review is from: In Another Man's Bed (Paperback)
Ms. Ray has done it again. She weaves a story that will hypnotize the reader and have you so involved with the characters that you feel like you can talk to them and they actually hear you. Take this journey with Justine as she goes to hell and back....and will consider going back to hell in order to do the right thing. But in walks a past love and things change. The answer becomes does she allow herself to be victimized by the vow she has taken...for better or worst...or does she realizes that she is entitled to real love. What's a person to do when it seems like almost everyone else wants you to do what is right for the person who has hurt you. Will Justine find herself and do what is best for her or will she turn her head and live a life that she so desparately want to run away from. well the answer lies between the front and back covers of this terrific and well written book. YOu won't be dissatisfied...I highly recommend this book....a page turner....
