The voice and brains behind the bands Denison Marrs and The Party People, Eric Collins has combined what he loved and learned from both projects with some of his favorite music to create The Dark Romantics, a darker, sexier, groovier sound with enough blues and twang mixed in that you can't help but get down. With brother-in-law Dean Lorenz, who also did time as Denison Marrs' drummer and lead guitar god of The Party People, two songs from The Dark Romantics' debut EP were recorded out west with Jason Martin of Starflyer 59 behind the wheel. The rest were recorded in sunny Florida by the band and Aaron Marsh from Copeland. A great first taste from a band people will surely be talking about very soon!

How this band is flying under the radar is just crazy! I am not hearing this until about 2 years after its release. I found this band by visiting Siberian's (total Seattle gem as well) myspace page-this band was one of their friends-so I checked them out. Anyway this band is simply amazing. The band sounds like if you mixed Jeff Buckley, Radio Head, Muse, and then sometimes the music has that danceablility quality of Keane's pop piano. I really love it, and they have a new album coming out. You can preorder it from their website. Get this, and you won't be disappointed.
