Another Way To Die features the first duette in a Bond Theme ever. When I saw the combo for the first time I must admit I was sceptical. Alicia and Jack are not a natural cobination. But when I heard the song I must say I was very plesantly suprised!
Perhaps it is the strangeness that makes it so brilliant, or is it the suprise that it actually works?
Anyway, I strongly recomend this to anyone who likes to hear something new and unexpected.

Jack White keeps stretching his boundaries. This is one of the more interesting Bond themes that I have heard in years. I like it.

There's definitely something happening here.
There's that man with the gun and the license to kill.
There's Alicia Keys.
There's Jack White.

But stop, what's that sound?
It's the sound of two voices not going together very well

Written and produced by White, the song doesn't go well with Keys' style, making her voice sound forced and strained at times. (She doesn't look very comfortable in the music video either)

The lyrics fit the theme, and the chorus is catchy, but unfortunately the first Bond duet won't go down as one of the better ones.

Like everything else these days, people feel the need to create something that is different and separates that product from the rest of the crowd. Unfortunately, they utterly failed with "Another Way To Die". The song lyrics are uninteresting and there is little chemistry between Jack White and Alicia Keys. I can't imagine hearing this song during the main title sequence for Quantum of Solace. The Bond producers always put forth so much effort into those sequences and to hear this low-quality, imitation of a Bond theme playing over that sequence will surely be disappointing.

It would be nice if they could return to the John Barry type theme songs. His are surely among some of the best.

I apologize to the people that hated this song. Sorry that White & Keys made a real song and not some flaky one-off. Sorry that they didn't make a bubblegum pop ditty. Sorry that it isn't Little Wayne or some (strip) club anthem. This song has soul and it rocks. This is the way to make a Bond song. I am so glad that they went in this direction.

You 2 did for her what she did for Lulu. Got her off the hook for the worst Bond song of all time.
