This book fried me.,
This review is from: Another Dawn (Zebra Splendor Historical Romances) (Paperback)
I could not put this one down. I loved the story, it was rich in detail and personalities. The chemistry between the characters was "pardon the pun" electrifying. Thank you Ms Stover for your time. I am heading off to seek another Deb Stover novel on Amazon.com. Aufwiedersein.

What more could you want in a book? From the absolute stunner of an opening to the last page, I was riveted by this story. Cleverly plotted, heartbreaking in places, always entertaining. A perennial favorite author.

This is the first Deb Stover I've read and I'm now glomming her backlist. This book is definitely a book worth more than its price - exciting, passionate, and emotional. It made me think a little about the penal code as well. I actually bought the book for the cover. Don't laugh. But oh, what a serendipity! This book is a treasure.

If you like Time Travels you will like this book, I couldn't put it down. Plus this is an author that interacts with her reads, she's online all the time talking to people who love romance books. I think that is really neat.

Luke Nolan, an innocent man who is sentenced to die, travels back in time with Sofie, a doctor who can't remember who she is.
He disguises himself as Father Salazar, the real priest from the present who believed him. The priest transported back with them and is now dead but Luke is determined to prove his innocence. Instead, he and Sofie get pulled into the town of Redemption, Colorado during a smallpox epidemic. It is the 1800's and there is no vaccine for the townspeople. And the story continues. Interesting secondary stories while Luke learns to trust and love Sofie add to the plot.

Powerful Read,

This book made me think long and hard about how I really feel about the death penalty. The author's description of the electrocution was powerful. The romance is first rate, the writing clean and flowing, and I highly recommend this book to any read: male, female, romance, or not.

Compelling and spooky enough to make you twitch!,

Deb is a master at writing time travel concepts. I'm always awed by her imaginative story lines. This one in particular will curl your hair; you can even smell it burning while Luke sits in the fated "chair." Way to go, Deb. It's a great read!

More Than Romance,

This review is from: Another Dawn (Zebra Splendor Historical Romances) (Paperback)
"Another Dawn" is a fantastic time travel romance, the best one I've ever read, but I think non-romance readers would love it, too. The elements of fantasy (the time travel) and suspense are very well done, and the characters are earthy and believable. I very highly recommend this book!

I Loved this book!!,

This novel was well worth the read. Luke is a wonderful hero, he had literaly grown up in prison waiting on death row. Blasted through time, he acts like any codemned man might who had spent eleven years behind bars. Frightened and a little immature, Luke grows up with this book. And just wait until you find out the true reasen that Sofie was in the prison, it wasn't because she was a doctor, nor because she was a death penalty activist, it was because.....Welll, I'll let you find out for youself!

The dawning of the new year with a terrific time travel,

~<p~ remembers nothing. <p~ DAWN, is a fantastic time traveler romance that keeps the reader hopping and hoping for Luke and "Sofie". The story line is hot and spirited as Ms. Stover does it again by opening the new year with what will be recognized as one of the top sub-genre tales that will leave many other authors of this type of story scampering to safer plots.<p |
