Robots invade from the sky
Robots invade from the sky

Used to getting just one game per mobile app? How would you like to get five different games in one package? It sounds too good to be true, but that's exactly what you are purchasing with this game bundle--five separate, complete games in one app: Grisly Manor, Robot 99, Walkabout, Chickens Quest, and Float.

Note that 17% of purchase proceeds are donated by the developer to three charity organizations: Child's Play, Bliss, and Dispensario de Managua. Additionally, a sixth game will be unlocked if the app reaches 100,000 downloads.

The Games
Grisly Manor

A visit to Grandpa's house always promised a little magic when you were a child. A fantastic engineer, he was always coming up with new ideas and inventions that never failed to amaze. But Grandpa has mysteriously vanished--it's up to you to explore his creaky house, solving the puzzles and uncovering the secrets that will explain his disappearance in this engrossing game.

Familiar objects around the house have been re-engineered to create a variety of challenging puzzles for you. Clues abound, and as each puzzle is solved, another one materializes. Grandpa obviously spent a lot of time making sure that only you would find him and uncover his big secret. Hopefully it's not too grisly!

Robot 99

In this fast and furious game, robots fall from the sky like so many raindrops. Your job is to catch them before they crash onto the pavement and transport them to Powerizona. Hold them in this special zone for as long as you can to collect extra points, but don't get too greedy, or a plummeting robot will slip by you. If three robots hit the ground, your game is over.

Queenie needs your help collecting the Magic Stars scattered throughout her kingdom. But be careful: One wrong move could leave you trapped, with no way out. There are 64 levels to negotiate, split across four regions of the kingdom. While you travel, you will discover keys that unlock eight further bonus levels. You'll have to be at your best to complete them all.

Peep-peep-peep all the way home
Peep-peep-peep all the way home
Queenie's quest is to collect all the stars
Queenie's quest is to collect all the stars
Chickens Quest

It was a dark and spooky night. The animals are all sound asleep on the farm--but an evil presence lurks. Suddenly, a scream rings out. There's been a chick-napping!

Your job in Chickens Quest is to help rescue the chicks by guiding them home. There will be plenty of obstacles in their way, but these cute little peepers are counting on you to lead them back to Mama Hen, Papa Rooster, and safety. Along the way you can collect stars, earn helpful items, and pile up points as you move through increasingly difficult levels in this fun barnyard romp.

Float is a game with a concept similar to Robot 99, only instead it's balloons rather than robots that you need to keep aloft. Tap the screen below the balloons before they reach the bottom, where sharp spikes await them. But whereas the robots drop like stones, these inflated objects peacefully float down the screen. Tap, bobble, and bump your way to fun. With multiple game modes (including Timed, Limbo, and Zen), various achievements, and leaderboards, this game contains something for everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars HTC Thunderbolt October 22, 2011

Update 12/1/11: After a long wait they have finally released an update. The game(s) now work on my wife's incredible and the install issues are gone. So anyone having problems should give it another go.

Sit back, grab your favorite beverage, and get ready for a really, really long review...

So I see this "game" which isn't really a game, it's a collection of games. I avoided it several times because I thought for 99c it's got to be a bunch of junk. After many, many Free Crap of the Day from Amazon I was really looking for something new and fun. I figured for 99c, what the heck, I will skip my coffee tomorrow. I already had Walkabout and Grisly Manor from FATOD. So for me it was more 3 in 1 than 5 in 1. So here's the lowdown. The star ratings are mine.

Grisly Manor, 5 stars (former FAOTD): This short but sweet, point and click adventure has top notch graphics, and some pretty difficult puzzles. If you didn't get this as the FAOTD and like old school adventure games, this alone is worth the 99c price of the whole app. Better print out a walk-through though, cause you will get stumped.

Chickens Quest, 4 stars: This lemmings style game requires you to get the chickens from one side of the screen to the other. It sounds simple, and for the most part it is. Drop boxes and logs in the water and blow stuff up. I haven't gotten very far into it yet, but despite its simplicity, I find this game a lot of fun. I also see there is a stop sign, and 3 other things I have no idea what they do yet. I'm hoping it will get progressively harder (and it is very slowly). It's very cutesy and the controls are a pain occasionally, hence the 4 stars instead of 5, but I think I will be playing this often cause I love lemmings type games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bundle! December 12, 2011

Ok, first, to dispute some of the other reviewers...this app downloaded in less than 5 mins on my wi-fi and I was able to move it to my media area which took it from 97 mb to 1.67 mb...which is a substantial difference. It became smaller than some other apps do when moved to the media area...and it is five games instead of one. Also, I think someone mentioned that you had to completely leave the bundle to change games. Mine wasn't like that...there was a menu with each game listed to click on. Once you hit exit inside one of the games, it takes you back to that main menu where you can choose another game. review! I played each of the five games and my favorite is the Grisly Manor, because it's one of those puzzle seek this to open that type games. It's kinda hard though. I have searched all over the house and only found two keys...and there are three doors still locked. :/ I will continue to hunt!!

Second, the Chicken Coop game is not bad, you have to keep the chickens from falling in the water until they get across the finish line. I played the first five levels and it seems like an ok time waster.

Third, the Robot 99 game...I played like five minutes...several "rounds" of the first level. I only managed to save one robot each time (it said), even though I kept the robots above the line. Maybe I misunderstood the directions? Not sure.

The fourth game, Walkabout, is decent. You have to walk across all of the stars but you can't retrace your steps. I played the first six or seven levels before reviewing. Makes sure that you think before you step, like the princess so "nicely" tells you when you fail.

The final game, the balloon have to tap the bottom of the balloons to keep them off the spikes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work on my Android 2.2 10 inch tablet November 8, 2011
Verified Purchase
I was warned that the Corona Indie Bundle might not work on my tablet, but I thought that I would try it anyway (heck, for $0.99 even if it didn't work I wouldn't be out much and it would still help some charities). Well, it wouldn't install at all. I freed up as much space as I could (74 meg) on the tablet and it still wouldn't install. I'm not sure if it's because it says it requires an 80 meg download after installing or what. Alas! It sounded like a good set of games.

There are five games in this app, hence the seemingly large amount of memory and longer than other app downloads. On my Fire, though, I haven't managed to use even a quarter of my memory and I have a threshold of apps and it really isn't that bad.

The games are super cute! I love the graphics and music as well as the gameplay itself. I would have bought this for .99cents had I known about this app prior to free app day; it's DEFINITELY worth it (and 17% of proceeds go to charity, which is always cool).

5.0 out of 5 stars works on Tmobile G2 December 12, 2011

Works well on Tmobile G2. The games all load fine and work properly, graphics are good and with 5 different games your sure to find one that makes this application worth while. The biggest problem I found is the file is huge.
