I wear size 10 and 11 rings on my middle and ring fingers, and these gloves seemed true to size. The medium were what I was expecting. They were tight, but not overly tight. However the design of the wrist hole on these gloves makes them a chore to put on or take off unless you are used to slipping your hand into tight places.

The gloves themselves feel wonderful once you have them on. The reinforcement is in all the important places on the backside of the glove and knuckles, while the palm has enough to protect your hands from splinters and mishaps with hot broilers.

These gloves are not waterproof, but they are very sturdy in other regards and have saved my hands from getting banged up by firewood on countless occasions.

I got these for under $10 during a lightning deal, and at that price I would recommend them to anybody. However if the current price is $20 I would look elsewhere as the quality is not high enough to merit that price.

I received these gloves from Amazon a few days ago. I noticed the left glove protective pad on the reflective material on the back is in a different place than it is on the right glove. Then I noticed empty stitch holes on the left glove that show there must have been stitches there once that for some reason had to be redone. I will keep the gloves and use them but I have a concern that the open stitches will cause the material to rip along the stitch line (like a perforation on a sheet of stamps). Not a good testimony to Ansell's quality control. I wish I could attach a picture of the gloves but I don't think this review page allows that.

these gloves will protect your fingers, which is why I got them. However they don't have the velcrow straps on the wrist that all other work gloves have.
Instead you have to fight your way into the gloves and tug at the wrist. Because of this fact, the lining on the wrist ripped on the second day of using them. I have tried to contact the seller to no avail. We shall see.

I purchased the "large" for my hands. These gloves were harder to put on than O.J. tryin' to put on his fine Italian,..blood soaked gloves during his (mis)trial ! Nice to look at but just to small and stiff. Get yourself a pair of Mule gloves,...still the best ever made.

If your work or hobby includes putting your fingers in harm's way, you might find these lightly armored gloves quite a relief. They seem to be very well made--the stitching and pad attachment feel very secure. There is not a wrist wrap to lock down the glove (like many motorcycle glove have), but a triangular elastic patch that does not feel at all cheap and accomplishes closing the wrist collar comfortably. The palm and finger grip areas are thick enough to provide some minimal protection but still allow decent tactile sensitivity.

Size prediction is a normal hazard in glove purchases. This set (unfortunately!) runs about a size small. I ordered the extra large and I cannot comfortably close my hand fully when wearing these fine gloves, let alone make a fist. (For reference, I wear XL in Joe Rocket and Honda motorcycle gloves, Isotoner, Mechanix and other name brand gloves.) That's too bad as they are otherwise flexible enough and well-constructed that they would have seemed ready to fulfill their promised role as "extreme impact work gloves". If there was an XXL selection I would exchange these gladly. For the money they are an alternative to the Mechanix gloves I use. The Mechanix have less (not as wide/extensive) impact protection but are about the same price and can be purchased in XXL for even larger hands Mechanix Wear CG30-75-010 Commercial Grade Impact Protection Glove, Black, Large or, and I think better for general use, Mechanix Wear MP-05-010 M-Pact Gloves, Black, Large. The Mechanix have a more padded palm but I liked the more flexible palms of the Ansells.

I bought these for my husband because they were a lighting deal and seemed like a good idea to protect his hands when he occasionally does work outside. HOwever the large gloves didn't fit him. They fit my hands snuggly and I am an average weight woman 5'9" tall. This review has few stars because we don't know how they work but they do seem well made and look pretty cool. They remind me of BMX gloves. I'm hoping to give these gloves to a friend with smaller hands and if his opinion of the gloves warrants a review revision I will do so later.

Gloves fit very well, true to size. Haven't had much opportunity to use them yet, but the textured palms are a nice feature. How long they can stand up to abuse is the true test. Either way they were a good price.

Update:
Well I've used them now - seam split on outside index finger joint during first use. Finger tips are still intact though which is usually where my work gloves fail. Will continue to use them as long as they offer some degree of protection.

I bought these not some time back and I rarely use them because of the fact that they don't fit my hands. I can get any other gloves and it works fine for my and comfortably. This, on the other hand (forgive me for the pun), takes some struggling to put on. I tried my best trying to break them in, hoping they would become lose, but they don't Ended up buy similar gloves in Large, cheaper at Harbor Freights.
