This review is from: Answer (Audio CD)
Before he attained notoriety in Camel, Peter Bardens released two excellent solo albums on the Transatlantic label (1970 & 71 repsectively). This is the first one released in 1970 and it's great. A mixture of psychedelic/progressive sounds with some blues rock thrown into the mix. Esoteric has done a wonderful job with the remastering. The booklet is great detailing his musical history. He was quite involved in the English blues rock boom of the mid to late 60's playing with Mick Fleetwood, Rod Stewart, and Peter Green to name a few.

The real killer track on this cd is the original version of "Homage To The God of Light". Camel fans will know this tune for this was a concert staple during their early years. A prog rock freakout, this was to lay the foundation for his work with Camel. Clocking in at 14 minutes it's a classic track. This cd reissue is supplemented by the A & B side of the lone single he did with his group at the time "The Village" which included future Elvis Costello band member Bruce Thomas. All you Camel heads should have this in your collection. If you don't shame on you.
Highly recommended.
