2.0 out of 5 stars Rambling, August 15, 2004
This review is from: Answer in the Sky...Almost: Confessions of an Astrologer (Paperback)
This is supposed to be an autobiography by Sidney Omarr. The style is very rambling and much of the book is a tirade against those who don't believe in astrology. There is not much of substance here for the astrologer. The book could have used a good editor. Much is repetitious. Many "facts" are inaccurate (such as saying that Morinus was a Catholic Bishop or that with the Sun in Aquarius, the Full Moon will be in Libra). The book is mildly interesting since Sydney Omarr played a role in popularizing astrology in the last century. His comments on number symbolism appeared inaccurate and did not describe the people I tried applying them to. It's light and quick reading. If you're interested, it's probably best to borrow this from the library. It's not a book you would ever refer to again.

1.0 out of 5 stars confessions of ...., July 4, 2009
This review is from: Answer in the Sky...Almost: Confessions of an Astrologer (Paperback)
If you are looking for useful astrological information don't buy this book!! It is the first time I have read a book that I immediately wanted to throw away. Maybe I should have paid more attention to the title it really is as tacky as it sounds. sorry Mr Omar, maybe I had the wrong expectation, i was really disappointed as the last book i read of yours was a great resource - this is really just a brag.

For me as a 14-year-old, the Atlantic City boardwalk was a fascinating place-the New Jersey resort on that famed boardwalk resonated with the sounds of Professor Seward beseeching people to "come closer" and hear about your astrological sign. Read the first page
