The one thing I come away with from reading Leslie's books, including this one, is the passion to seek more and more and MORE of Christ.

There are helpful tips in the book on how to dress modestly (more importantly where to get those kinds of clothes), act in a ladylike manner, and how to relate to guys without giving away the things strictly to be given in the confines of marriage. I found areas in my life where I had gaps that I wasn't even aware of. There are insightful comments by godly men and their viewpoint of femininity and godly women. It was truly refreshing and convicting to read those comments. It is wonderful to know Christlike men do exist and do respect women for more than just the physical body. It also caused me to be more aware of how I walk, sit, talk and behave around guys. Something that I think is innocent might make it more difficult for them not to stumble in certain areas.

There were a lot of sections taken from previous books, which is probably the only thing I wasn't too keen on. If you're looking for a matchmaking guideline book, this isn't for you. If you're wanting to learn how to be a more godly woman in the aspect of guy/girl relationships (whether it be in a friendship or romantic relationship) and how to live out those aspects then this book is for you!

What I love about this book is that it is honest and upfront, you can give it to your teenage daughter or you can go through it with them (as I plan to do). I love the way the point she is trying to make is that, who are you trying to impress? The kind of Godly man that you will actually want to marry will be more impressed by your passionate relationship with God than he will be by a short skirt. Just the kind of thing I want my daughters knowing!

Today masculinity and femininity has been thrown into lackluster living with decreased dignity and decorum. As a young woman who is seeking the fullness of the life of Christ flowing and growing in her life, where can she go for answers to perplexing questions concerning guys? Leslie Ludy is one of the greatest and most passionate voices for today's young woman. Her down-to-earth and practical writing style, combined with the majesty and strength of the Gospel, makes this small book a power-packed resource for every young woman who is seeking the honor, nobility, valor, dignity, and grace of authentic and pure relationships with guys. Not only does Leslie give advice on how to interact in a pure and honorable way, she also exhorts young women to encourage and enable the men around them to become the valiant warrior-poets they were designed to become. As a young warrior-poet in the making myself, I completely agree with Leslie's perspective of not only what is lacking in masculinity but also what MUST change! Everything Leslie speaks to young women about concerning what they can do (how they speak, dress, encourage, etc) is cheered on with a hearty "amen!" While warrior-poets may seem rare, young women have the opportunity to help raise the guys around them into Godly, authentic, pure, mighty and valiant warrior-poets. As a young woman, this is a must read book! As a young man, this book can give you a great perspective on what masculinity can be and the standard we as men must live at.

Loved reading this book only wish I bought it in hard copy so I could share but as all ways Leslie Ludy did a wonderful job.

I was pleased with the price and the speed of the seller in shipping. The book was in perfect condition. The book however is just ok. It's not up to par with Leslie's other books. I think it is just the stuff that she couldn't fit into Set-Apart Femininity. If you just read everything the Ludy's write of course you should pick this up, but other than that I would recommend any of Leslie or Eric's other books instead of this one.

This maybe an ok book, but I was definitely turned off by the author's pot-shots at John Eldredge. I'm mean you have to be kidding me to say that John Elderedge has a mediocre view of marriage and fighting for his family! I don't think I've ever heard anyone who speaks and writes more on fighting for women!
