the greatest endime book of all times,

This review is from: 101 Answers to the Most Asked Questions about the End Times (Paperback)
This would be the greatest endtime book of all times. Mark Hitchcock goes to great lengths to inform the readers about the endtimes. He has given much time in prayer and research to provide all sources of idea's and other points of view. I began to read this book and before long I found myself marking it and taking notes. It pages are filled with so much wisdom. As a minister of a diffrent demonination I had a couple minor things I did not agree with. However, this did not stop me from reading this amazing book. I would recommend everyone who reads this review to buy the book and share it with loved ones. "he that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit has to say to the churchs....." REV 2:7

The end of the world is a much discussed subject...,

but many authors have trouble putting into terms that the everyday non-Bible Scholar can understand with ease. Mark Hitchcock does just that. If you've asked it, it's probably in here. Hitchcock provides a Biblical basis for every provided answer, and has you more excited about the rapture by the time you reach the final pages than you have been before! Highly recommended.

I have read many books dealing with End-Time Prophecy. This author takes great care in developing an issue, then offering alternate points from other Bible students. He comments on each one with his own interpretation and then provides numbered reasons for his stand. On issues where there remains no clear answer in the Bible, he so states that position along with his opinion. I enjoyed this easy-to-read book.

Good explanation of premillennalism/pretribulationism,
By NoWireHangers (Sweden) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 101 Answers to the Most Asked Questions about the End Times (Paperback)
This book explains and defends the premillennial, pretribulationalist view of the end times, but also briefly presents the other views. While I don't share Hitchcock's belief in the end times and he doens't convince me, he does a good job of explaining this popular interpretation of prophecy.
On the down side, he tends to repeat himself quite often and as in much end times literature, there's a thinly veiled schadenfreude against those who will be left behind ("The tribulation will be the worst time to live in human history. How much better to ask Jesus into your heart now and watch it all from heaven!" (p. 167) what a show it will be, bring the popcorn!) But the book's biggest flaw is that there's no index or any full list of all the 101 questions, although the book is divided into chapters. Overall, a good introduction for those who want to learn about the pretribulationist view of the end times.

Friendly Presentation of Common Bible Prophecy Topics,

This review is from: 101 Answers to the Most Asked Questions about the End Times (Paperback)
Mark Hitchcock does a great job providing useful insights into the topic of end times Bible prophecy. The book is exceptionally easy to read, as it breaks the large topic of Bible prophecy into a friendly "Question and Answer" format. The author also does an excellent job of representing different viewpoints on some of the more difficult questions, and then he provides his own opinion with an abundance of scriptural support.
His theology is very sound. It agrees with many Bible prophecy experts, some of whom I am lucky enough to call friends. The list would include, but is not limited to, Tim LaHaye, Arnold Fruchtenbaum, David Reagan, Thomas Ice, Grant Jeffrey, and many others. In other words, the author believes Jesus will return before the millennium and literally be on earth for His millennial reign; that God deals with the Church and Israel differently; and that the Rapture will occur before the tribulation. Thus, he believes the Rapture is an imminent event that could happen at any time (as depicted in the Left Behind series co-authored by a mutual friend, Tim LaHaye). Moreover, he notes that we should be watching for end-times events and that Christians should especially pay attention to Israel, because God's Word clearly foretells that Israel will have a prominent role in the end times. On that note, his hermeneutics is in agreement with the belief that scripture should usually be interpreted in a literal sense, as opposed to falsely trying to "allegorize" text when doing so is not necessary and would only expose the interpretation to debate. Dr. D.L. Cooper's explanation of the best way to interpret the Bible is commonly referred to as the Golden Rule of Interpretation: "When the plain sense of scripture makes common sense, seek no other sense; therefore, take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages and axiomatic and fundamental truths, indicate clearly otherwise." IN SUMMARY: This book offers solid, credible answers to some very tough, though important, questions about end-times Bible prophecy. It delivers what is says it will: 101 Answers to the Most Asked Questions about the End Times. Jeffrey R. Camino, Author Pray That You May Escape

This was a very good book. I keep it handy as a reference guide as well. It does go into detail by answering a lot of questions that believers may have about the end times.
