I love this book. It is one of my very favorites among a sizable gardening library.
I read it from cover to cover when I first received it and refer to it when I come across a problem. The prose is light and entertaining and the author consults various experts about the topic at hand. The only drawback is that it is primarily geared to Southern California; a minor drawback as most answers pertain to us, Northern California gardeners as well. It is kept at my bedside, a very selective corner indeed. Great gift idea for gardeners. |
