Not What I Expected From This Author,

The premise of this book was fantastic, and the characters were well developed, but there were topics introduced toward the end, such as Jessica's past sins, that had me searching to find out if this story was the continuation of a series. When I read farther than the first few pages of Where Leads the Heart and Plains of Promise, I found what I was looking for, how Jessica tied in with the other two women she mentioned hurting. All of the books held more interest for me then. Although they are not as suspenseful as Colleen Coble's trade paperbacks, there are enough different issues faced by the characters to make them stimulating, and of course there is Colleen's faith in God shining bright in each. Much more impressed than at first read!
