I am a antique and vintage jewelry dealer. Having several online stores beginning with my mother store at, as well as selling at antique fairs, my clients expect me to know what I'm talking about.

I have a large library on antique and vintage jewelry and this book has been one of my most used reference guides. Most of the many photos are in black and white but every piece has it's own. Plus there are adequate descriptions without being wordy, and prices. I have found it very helpful for identifying and getting a sense of value on many pieces that have been in my possession that I have not found in other guides. Each era has it's own section for fast location. There are also helpful information guides at the back and a glossary for learning the technical wording.

If I had anything at all to say negative about it is that I wish it had an index, and that it was offered in Hard Cover. Mine is looking pretty ratty from all the use it gets.
