Children will listen,

This review is from: Antarctica: A Call to Action (Hardcover)
This book when placed into the hands of a child they get it. They understand through the beauty and majesty of the photography that there is an important story being told. When my little niece saw this book she said she felt sad that for the lonely penguin on the cover. She wanted to know if there was a way to help him. When I asked her what she thought of the book she said she like the pictures a lot.
You will too. Antarctica: A Call to Action

A beautiful portrait of Antarctica for young people,

This review is from: Antarctica: A Call to Action (Hardcover)
This book is mostly photographs, taken by Sebastian Copeland during a recent voyage to Antarctica. There is little text, so a child interested more in pictures, and especially one interested in photography, can revel in the views he gives us of this continent. His love and concern for the coldest places of our world comes through loud and clear.

Tip #4,
This review is from: Antarctica: A Call to Action (Hardcover)
Thanks for the tips on how to do my laundry and stuff! I feel like I am saving the planet just by having read it!
Here's one more planet-saving idea: Use manual scissors to cut out the great pictures of real Antarctica. Then use the rest of the bad-science propaganda in your fireplace, and save on that nasty modern resource-wasting form of heat! And someone please rush to Antarctica to save that penguin before that last ice fragment melts and leaves him as prey for nasty humans who would carry him/her off to a zoo somewhere! |
