4.0 out of 5 stars Nice ventilation option
This is a good option to improve the air flow in cases with not many places to put a square-type fan, i installed this one on an older pc wich was not designed to add a fan (as many other does), and installed it on the 2 bottom slots just below my graphic card, which doesnt have a cooling fan (it has silent cooling heatsinks) so its directly cooling the video card and...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay...
The first one started making loud noise on start up after about 2-3 weeks. The noise goes away in about a minute. RMA'ed it. The new one is holding out okay so far after a couple of weeks. The fan seems kind of weak though especially considering it's dual slot. Med and low setting pretty quiet. On High setting you can definitely hear it if you have a low noise setup.

This review is from: Antec SUPER CYCLONE FAN Dual 3-SPEED Exhuast Fan Mnts In 2 Expansion Slots (Personal Computers)
This is a good option to improve the air flow in cases with not many places to put a square-type fan, i installed this one on an older pc wich was not designed to add a fan (as many other does), and installed it on the 2 bottom slots just below my graphic card, which doesnt have a cooling fan (it has silent cooling heatsinks) so its directly cooling the video card and exhausting hot air out of the case. If set to high speed it definitely sounds loud enough for you to hear it, but if set to middle speed you can really forget it's there. I've never had overheating problems with that PC, this 2 pci-slots fan its not as powerful as its looks but this will ensure me to forget about heating problems. Installation, well, i gotta say i got experience with computers, for me it was just removing two screws, fitting the fan, plugging the cord, and putting back the screws, very simple.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, helps cool my Geforce GTX 480, May 27, 2010

This review is from: Antec SUPER CYCLONE FAN Dual 3-SPEED Exhuast Fan Mnts In 2 Expansion Slots (Personal Computers)
Read reviews about this and wasn't going to buy it. Saw it at Staples and said what the heck. Very happy I got it. It installed directly above my GFX 480 with millimeters to spare. Thought darn it, not enough room. To my delight it cools it great. Running the Same furmark it cools the card a whole 10 celsius at max load from 96 down to 86 and idle is down from 46 to 43. Note: Overclocked Core Voltage 1088, Core 850mhz, shader 1650mhz and memory at 2100mhz.

Recommended highly if you have my set up with the cyclone above the video card.

Installed this unit right below my video card. At high speed it is quiet, it cools the graphic board (a GTX260 core 216) a couple of degrees in idle mode, but most importantly it keeps it really efficiently below 55C at full load, which is in average 10 to 15C less than without this fan unit.
Highly recommended even if you have a very well ventilated case like I do.
It is designed to blow HOT air OUT of your case, it is not meant to cool a device by blowing cold air on it. Read the specs carefully before buying to make sure this is what you need. It uses 2 available slots so be aware if you have or plan to have a double video card in SLI you may not have room for this unit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good fan, August 28, 2011

This review is from: Antec SUPER CYCLONE FAN Dual 3-SPEED Exhuast Fan Mnts In 2 Expansion Slots (Personal Computers)
This is a good blower/fan. Moves air and lots of it. It is large and a tight fit against the PCI card slots on the motherboard but it moves air. My main problem now its that there is almost too little ventilation openings in the front of the computer case. Also, it doesn't work well with PCI express graphics cards. In a micro ATX motherboard, large PCI graphics cards take up 2 slots and are usually the top two slots (closest to the CPU). This would then fit under the PCI graphics card. I have an ASUS GTX 460 in such a setup. The clearance between the two was about 2 millimeters and worse yet the two fans take air in from the same side (top for the fan and bottom for the graphics card) thus they compete against each other. My graphics card actually had a temperature increase of 5 Celsius. I move the fan to a different computer and decided to upgrade my gaming computers case instead. In that other computer it is moving lots of air and helping to reduce the overall temps in the case.

This review is from: Antec SUPER CYCLONE FAN Dual 3-SPEED Exhuast Fan Mnts In 2 Expansion Slots (Personal Computers)
I bought this fan to cool my Nvidia video card. It ran fine for 2 weeks and then became very noisy after about 2 weeks of intermittent operation. Would love to be able to contact the seller, but as of yet have not been successful. AVOID THIS PRODUCT.

This is a great idea and it works well.
I don't even hear it.
I could care less about PC noise, if it is not like a crop-duster, but
a little wind does not bother me.
However, I was surprised at how quiet this item was being as big as it is.
Great Item and great idea whomever came up with it.

This fan sucks, the hot air out and keeps the graphic card, an ATI 5770 from overheating. Can't beat the price at Amazon.

This fan does a great job of helping to cool my Core i7 with 12 GB of ram & an NVIDIA 295GTX. The case is a few degrees cooler according to SPEEDFAN, so a good price for a good tool.
