The stock 480 watt power supply that came with my computer was really noisy (and presumably low quality) and was unable to accept any video cards that required 6 or 8 pin power connectors, so I went for this 650 watt Antec (which has 2x 6+2 Pin power connectors.)
I was very impressed with how quite the fan is; it's just a low, elegant humming. It has not given me any problems as of yet, and thanks to the power connectors and 38amp 12V rails, I will be able to put in an NVIDIA GTS 450 in the future (It is currently powering an NVIDIA 8600GTS.)
I was not, however, impressed with the fact that it brings no power cord for the alleged purpose of saving an environment that needs no saving. That's just a convenient excuse to avoid extra manufacturing costs for the power cords.
Here is a list of the power connectors that it brings:
1 x Main connector (20+4Pin) 1 x 4+4 Pin ATX12V/EPS12V 5 x Peripheral (4 Pin Molex) 7 x SATA 1 x Floppy 2 x PCI-E 6+2 Pin

I was initially a little wary of buying and antec ps but i have been pleasantly surprised. This unit performs well under the load and I would highly recommend it for any one who is looking to dual crossfire/SLI. However it isn't for everyone, it is not modular and DOES NOT come with a power cord, so make sure you have/purchase a powercord to go with it.

I used this PSU to replace a lower-quality one that came in my system, haven't had a single issue with it. I'll definitely buy Antec again.
This is the quietest PSU I have ever owned [it's really hard to tell if that fan is even on, to be honest], and the massive list of certifications is just the cherry on top. This thing works great on the newest motherboards, and draws less than half a watt of power when the system is off.
When this whirred to life, I could hear the harmonic distortion followed by nothing but silence. Did I mention it was really quiet? You probably could use this for an HTPC if it was modular or you had somewhere to fit the cables.
The amount of cabling provides more than ample power even for some modest SLI systems [the cable ties that came with this were re-usable, so it was easy to cable the system, but do be aware that as this is not modular you will have a little bundle of spare cable on the bottom of your case <or top, depending on where your PSU vents hot air> to tuck away], as most of the 650W can be pulled through the two 12V rails. Easily runs an HD6850 & is one of the AMD GPU-certified PSU's.
Absolutely no issues with compatibility, some people might not like the fact there's no temperature monitoring for the PSU itself though. Works great with an i3-2120 and has remarkably stable power; monitoring shows no crazy voltage spikes or undervolts with plenty of wiggle room for really powerful components.
Interesting anomaly- this unit stated it did not come with a power cable. Imagine my surprise when upon opening the box, a power cable inside of a plastic bag was nestled in the corner. This wasn't entirely useless, as it was a more durable power cord than the one I had...Read more ›

I got this power supply last april. Yesterday noticed a burning smell coming from it and the fan had quit spinning. I have an old antec true power power supply that I used for years and years, very dissappointed in this and will stay away from antec in the future

I personally don't know how much longer this thing will run on my set up but it's doing an amazing job. On top of the great job it does, i have never heard it once because it's so quiet! To understand the load this thing can take, i have: my motherboard, 2disc drives, 3 hard drives, two crossfired 6870's, and 8 fans. Probably ugrade soon but this thing is great for the time being!

I bought this to power one 5850 and one 5830, 24/7, at full load. Works perfectly, running for three weeks without issues. I had to use a molex to 6 pin PCI-E power adapter, as it only has two 6+2 pin connectors. I even tested it with my Phenom II 955 and my GPUs at full load with no problems. Good bang for the buck for a PSU, as you can pull almost all it's rated power through the +12V rails.

I've been buying Antec PSUs for years. Something has changed with their quality and or quality control process. When I applied power I heard a very loud grinding noise. Seems the fan in the unit was rubbing on the side of its case. Back it went to Amazon. Other reviews from this site and others state the PSU model has actually started on fire! Scary. Stay away.

This item performed fantastic for 14 months, then flamed out. Luckily I was near the computer and smelled the smoke. Antec is providing a replacement for the cost of return shipping. After scanning other sites for reviews, it appears it is not uncommon for these models to catch fire. Hopefully they have resolved this issue.
