Product Description

The Antec SL400 is a 400 Watt, 6 output ATX (Baby AT or PS/2 size) computer power supply. The ATX12V specification was created as an addendum to the base ATX to improve power performance for the P4 generation and beyond. ATX12V adds increased +12V output capability, a new 4 pin output connector, and increased +5VSB current. ATX12V also benefits Athlon motherboards, with the exception of the new 4 pin connector, which is optional for Athlon boards. ATX12V is backward compatible with earlier ATX motherboards. This model includes a 2-wire / 3-pin signal connector from power supply to motherboard, allowing users to monitor the power supply's fan via the motherboard's BIOS - Included manual may not reflect this addition ATX12V Form Factor ATX 2.03 Compliant Dimensions - 3.4H x 5.5W x 5.9L

2.0 out of 5 stars Dual Fan Failure at about 3000 hours, September 29, 2009
This review is from: Antec SL400 400W 12V Atx Ps Dual Fan (Personal Computers)
This has a 100 mm air input fan on the bottom and a 80 mm output on the side. However neither are ball bearing and both have failed within 2 weeks of each other after about 1 year of use - about 3000 hours, not even close to the advertised 50,000 MTBF. On the positive side, both failures led to overheating and the power supply did auto-shutdown without additional damage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Power Supply!, February 1, 2004
This review is from: Antec SL400 400W 12V Atx Ps Dual Fan (Personal Computers)
I'm not electronically-minded/gifted... but the fact is that I 'did' upgrade my power supply (4 months ago) from a 250 watt to this particular Antec Power Supply. The whole operation went smoothly and the power supply has worked flawlessy from the beginning.
