The power antenna works great. It arrived in a timely manner. The directions were easy to follow and took about 30 minutes to replace using just 2 tools. Of course I had to disassemble the motor casing to remove the broken plastic track (that took the most time). I am very pleased with the entire process.

This antenna fit our 1995 Avalon perfectly, and was not very hard to install using common household tools; however, I would recommend buying an $8 antenna wrench, like the Powerbuilt Antenna Wrench, also available on Amazon, to make things a bit easier. Since the old antenna lift/retract cable (a lot like a long notched cable tie) had broken off inside the motor housing, I did have to disassemble it to remove the broken bits, but the supplied instructions show how to do this, which as they say, is not difficult. This item/fix saved a $300 repair that I was quoted by the dealer.

I only have one question: Why supply 2? Am I supposed to go out and buy another 1995 Avalon needing a new antenna mast for the one left over? 😉

I wish I knew about this so I could have enjoyed my radio the past 5 years.
Getting the new one into the gears, is tricky.
But otherwise, good stuff.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality, price and ease of installation with this product. I installed it on a 1996 Toyota Avalon. It required no removal of the existing antenna mechanism, only the broken mast itself. My daughter left the mast up while putting the car through a self service drive-through car wash and it broke where it emerges from the car body. The only somewhat difficult part of the installation process was the removal of the remaining piece of the broken mast (because it had been distorted). Once that piece was removed, the remaining installation went like clockwork. Very pleased.

junk and hard to wire. Don't waste a dime on these...they are extremely hard to push in through the motor and the hard plastic can cut you.

I don't get much better reception with this antenna than I did with the broken antenna I replaced. I think signals are screwed up since everything went digital. We have had really strong winds so that may be a factor as well. Of course too I listen to a station that isn't the most powerful either.

I was selling my car and the antenna didn't work so this was order to replace it. The new buyer was with me when I installed it and was quite happy with it.

the instructions make it seem simple but it is not that clear to put together and I even had a friend help me; this is the type of stuff left up to a body shop
