Product Description

Replace your ugly factory (31 inch) metal shaft antenna with this stylish yet functional LOW PROFILE (13 inch) flexible rubber antenna that will not hit the GARAGE DOOR anymore!!! If you are unsure that it fits, try unscrewing the existing antenna mast off. If it twists right off, then this antenna WILL FIT since it COMES WITH VEHICLE SPECIFIC ADAPTERS (no two antennas are the same fit). Installation is very simple. This is a PLUG-N-PLAY antenna, which means it screws onto your existing antenna mount (a direct bolt-on part, no wiring involved) and takes a minute to do. Most people wonder about losing reception with this antenna. 99.9% of the time reception stays the same OR improves. This antenna replaces your stock AM/FM radio antenna and does not affect On-Star, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, or Sirius XM radio as those Satellite services use a separate antenna in your vehicle. This compact high quality black matte finish rubber antenna cleans up the appearance of the FRONT or REAR of your car and is an extremely durable upgrade from any stock antenna. A great improvement for little money and effort!

Customer Reviews

Easy to install- looks great.

I live in an area where we have lots of stations that put out signal 8 miles from where I live and I can't hear half of them clearly.
Lost redneck
It looks much better on the Jeep than the stock antenna.

Look, I didn't take physics, so here's how I see this thing. I live in a city with underground parking lots and concrete walls. When I'm driving around, THERE IS NO SIGNAL LOSS. In areas where the signal was weaker or was interrupted slightly, I now have an even weaker signal or no signal at all, briefly. I cannot give it 5 stars for this, because technically the whip is better. But, guaranteed, this new stubby won't hit the car in a strong wind or car wash, and it looks ALOT better. If you do a lot of off-roading or live in the mountains, you will be wasting your money, because if you already have issues with coverage, THIS WILL NOT IMPROVE ANYTHING. But, you will sacrifice some coverage in already "problem" areas for something a little more low profile and sturdy. It took me 6 minutes to install. That's it.

I like the look of this antenna, and there has been a minimal change in radio reception for both AM and FM. Overall it's more than acceptable reception quality. The only thing I'd say about this is to be careful installing it. I slightly cracked the base in the course of overtightening using pliers. Don't use pliers!

I ordered this to replace my OEM antenna BC it has a bad tendancy of getting caught in trees on some of the off road trails. Shipping was fast as always and the product arrived in one piece. Install took less than 5 mins and all I used was a 3/8 wrench to loosen the OEM antenna and then the new one went on without any problem. I've had the new off road antenna on for a few days now and have driven both city streets, interstate, back country roads, and trails all with no loss in station reception. Overall a great product that works great and added a little extra custom look to the jeep.

I live just outside Chicago, IL (which I believe has more radio stations than any other city in the nation) and Rockford, IL. After the quick install, I cannot listen to 80 percent of the stations I was able to listen to with the stock antenna. This antenna is absolute garbage and the manufacture's claims that 99 percent of the users experience the same or improved reception is an outright fallacy! The only people that tolerate it are people that don't even listen to the radio and just care about how it looks - or they just don't get good reception to begin with. I read the reviews and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt, as I do with most my purchases, and I've never been as disappointed with a purchase as I have with this one. Believe me, I have pretty realistic expectations and honestly never bother to write a bad review, even if its really bad. However, I'll make the exception due to their BS claims in their description. Had it not been for the description filled with lies I'd probably just eat the $20 (after shipping and handling) and toss the antenna in the trash. I would normally not return a product that is $20, but I want them to have their garbage back and I'll put the $20 in my gas tank.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.

The antenna looks really good. The reception definitely isn't the same as the stock antenna. It's good in open areas but once it's around trees or residential areas it fades in and out. It's rather frustrating.

If you claim in your description that reception stays the same or improves 99.9% of the time, then I would expect that to be the case. I guess I am the 0.01%. I live 1 hour west of center city Philadelphia and every station is worse. Some of the stations that have been clear in the past will not even come in. Yes, it looks good. But the functionality is zero.

I HAVE to think the only reason people like this antenna is because it looks cool. It may give OK reception if you are in cities, but NOT in rural central Wisconsin where radio stations are 20 to 80 miles away. I cannot imagine what reception would be like if distances were farther, the terrain wasn't flat or driving among tall buildings. The radio's performance on my brand new Jeep Wrangler went from excellent reception on numerous stations with the stock antenna, to losing most of my preset channels and not picking up any channels continuously with the scan feature. Reception is weak, static, and intermittent on many stations, with few acceptable. When I reported my experience to AntennaX, they sent my a second antenna promptly, but it was no better. I think this is a good company and would probably return my money if asked, though I am not going to bother to return them. After studying FM reception, this is probably the best reception you can get with this short of an antenna without changing something else on my vehicle. I just don't think AntennaX should claim " the same reception or better 99 % of the time". I only imagine the reception getting worse as the FCC is lowering the wattage of the radio stations to make more bandwidth. I am putting back on my OEM antenna.
