My parents threw away the Young and the Hopeless because it was "depressing". Anyway. The Young and the Hopeless is not as consistent as GC's first (the self titled) album. It has songs that are even better than the first one, but many songs that are worse. I decided, instead of spending $15 to buy the album again, why not just get the Anthem for $3. It's a good alternative if you don't especially love the Young and the Hopeless. The acoustic version of Lifestyles and the Rich and Famous is pretty good, but it's nothing too special. It's still just a single; but even so, if you don't wanna spend $15 on the whole album just for a few songs you like, buy this instead.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Anthem by Good Charlotte!!! It is, like, my most favorite song ever! I keep listening to this song over and over and I never get tired of it. I have never been a big fan of the kinds of bands like Good Charlotte, but after hearing this song, I will definately buy their CD!

The Anthem is the worst single of 2002. Immature lyrics, poppy three cord riffs, and a singer with no talent vocally at all.
