AMAZING ALBUM,

If you like Godspeed, Do Make Say Think, then K.C. Accidental is a must listen to. One of the best albums I have heard in the past year. I have to say I listen to some of it at least once a day. Anthems goes from nice, pure ambience, to a harder experimental beat. This is a must buy. I can not stress this enough! Get It!

"Anthems For The Could've Bin Pills" is one of the most amazing albums ever. Great Ambience, if that's what you are into. Myself, I am. "Is And Of The", is a great example of the Ambience on this album. "them (popsong #3333)" is also a great song. If you are into space rock, ambience.... This album is a for sure get. I am almost positive that you will not regret it!

This is one cd I can keep listening to over and over again without ever being tired of it. It is amazing. If you are a fan of Broken Social Scene or Do Make Say Think or even Godspeed you Black Emperor, You'll love this brighter side of post rock. And for those who haven't really listened to much post rock, this cd will grow onto you. Just keep your mind and ears open... all there is to this is pure emotion, and it will seep through your ears one day.. It's a shame that most of the world will never lay ears on these guys but instead the same old same old on MTV and radio.

The foundation for Broken Social Scene is here...,

Prior to the formation of Broken Social Scene (BSS), Kevin Drew and Charles Spearin (thus the "K" and "C" in the band name -from their initials) got together to record this 12-track production. After the first six 4-second long tracks made up of silence, the album jumps into six tracks that lay the foundation of what would later be the signature sound of BSS, mostly their debut album, "Feel Good Lost".
To be discovered in "Anthems for the Could've Bin Pills" are mostly progressive instrumental tracks that border the line between rock and ambient, with very elaborate themes that typically take well over 6-7 minutes to reach their climax (one of them breaking the 12-minute mark). Since I discovered them back in September '05, I find myself playing this album over and over without getting tired of it. |
