A great collection!,

Featuring the greatest hits of Tom Cochrane & Red Rider, this anthology does the job very well. Filled with all the biggest and best known songs, it suits well as a beginners guide to Red Rider. White Hot, Lunatic Fringe, Human Race, Boy inside the Man, The Untouchable one...they are all here. And for us long time fans, we dont mind hearing the classics over again. I wish they included the sweet "Napoleon Sheds his skin", "Love under Fire" and "Make myself complete", but that is just a minor detail. For all those curious on Red Rider`s biggest hits, check out this collection, for it is the perfect introduction to Tom Cochrane & Red Rider.

I originally purchased this for "The Boy Inside The Man" but each and every song on this CD is AWESOME! A must have for RED RIDER FANS. It's got all of the favorites like "Lunatic Fringe", "Crack The Sky" "Human Race" and I must say I didn't realize how much I missed these songs until I heard them again! Want the Best of the Best??? BUY THIS CD!@!

On the heels of late '70's bands such as April Wine, Triumph, and Rainbow - better bands all - came this one-hit wonder that proved to be a refuge from the weirdness of hair bands and "'80's music" generally. None of these tracks is bad, all decent 3-star material, outside of classic "Lunatic Fringe"
After you've acquired all the obvious greats and goods, it's albums like this that prove to be a welcome find. Head East, anyone?

It is great collection & introduction to a great artist of this calibre.Having started hearing Cochrane for the first time from "Mad Mad World" album, this collection blends very well with this popular album.Songs like,"Boy Inside The Man","The Untouchable One","Don't Fight It"And "Avenue "A" are great songs with their beautiful melodies that will stir you up for a very long long time.Great compilation and introduction to Tom Cochrane's music!

Good collection but not there are others more complete,
This review is from: Anthology 1980-1987 (Audio CD)
This is a great collection in that it covers all of their Capitol releases. The Canadian release "Over 60 Minutes with Red Rider" is more thorough, with 17 tracks as opposed to the 12 here. The only things missing from "Over 60 Minutes" are the two tracks this collection includes from "Tom Cochrane & Red Rider," their fifth and final for Capitol (Boy Inside the Man and Untouchable One)...that compilation was released before that album came out. In a perfect world this would be a double disc collection with all the tracks from these two collections plus the hits from their "Victory Day" album (released in 1987 on BMG).
Another fine collection that includes both band material and tracks from Tom's solo career is "Trapeze"...make sure you get the 3-disc deluxe edition available in Canada as it includes a live disc with seven tracks, plus two new songs from the reunited band recorded in 2002. Now, if I could just get my hands on the boxed set "Ashes to Diamonds" with all its alternate, demo, previously unreleased and live recordings, that would be the ultimate!

A great CD by a great band - contains most of their hits including 'Lunatic Fringe' which is my favorite all time rock tune, and, reportedly, the theme song of the current resident of the White House.
