Watch For BOOTLEGS OF THIS CD!,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Anthology: Handshake Years (Audio CD)
Several sellers of this cd are selling bootleg copies knowingly. The same sellers are also selling different bootleg cd's on Ebay as well. If you get a Bootleg version, Let Us All Know in your feedback so we are not taken advantage of and the singers are not cheated out of the rewards for there work. If you are not sure if item for sale is a bootleg, email and ask. Most of the time, they won't respond or say that they don't have it in stock anymore. If you get one, I suggest you file a complaint at either site: [...]
Or: [...] How to spot a Bootleg item: KNOW what studio authorized items should look like by examining the packaging. ARTWORK (front and back) should be colorful, clear and professional. Knowing all this information will help you determine that your CD is not a bootleg. ITEM maybe re-wrapped, meaning it has been opened and someone may have re-wrapped with a cellophane machine. Especially be wary of this as many sellers will sell you re-wrapped used item as new. BOOTLEGS are usually way cheaper than the originals. Many buyers are tempted because of this. Be warned that if you buy such items there is no guarantee that it will play. Most bootleg disc have a kind of bluish tint to the playing side of the disc. Also, the artwork on the disc is usually very different than the original. AUTHORIZED CD'S DON'T LOOK LIKE A CDR. With technical innovations and un-monitored productions, sometimes unauthorized CD's which have not been authorized by the copyright owners get listed for sale. Such instance occurs frequently and its hard to tell the differences, but with the knowledge of knowing what to look for, you are now able to determine your product more effectively.

What a wonderful singer!,

Terry Gregory will always be right there at the top of my list of artists who "should have been huge." I was there as her career began to develop, and found her to be such a humble, beautiful, and hard-working young woman, like no other I ever knew. I might be a little prejudiced, because I co-wrote several of the songs on this anthology. But after not hearing Terry for many years, I'm convinced she is one of the best singers who arrived on that early-80's scene. Kudos for this terrific Handshake anthology......great re-mastering, terrific sound. Which is what this amazing artist deserves!

Terry Gregory's voice is as pure as an angel's and she has the personality to match. Once you have heared her, you don't want to stop listening. A true professional who not only cares about her work, but her fans as well.
Sit back, listen and enjoy. You're in for a real treat.

An Absolute Gem,

I cannot believe that I stumbled on this CD! Terry Gregory is one of my best childhood memories - she was a great friend, and my mother and I used to go to all her LA shows. I still have the pictures of me, at 8 years old, standing on stage with her and singing 'Tomorrow' from Annie.
Terry's talent is amazing - she should be a household name. These songs *are* my childhood. I have missed them terribly.

Awesome,

This woman should be a superstar. I thought everyone had forgotten her but me until I saw this album of her remastered work. I bought her two albums from Handshake records on cassette in the early 80's and played them until I wore them out. Then I searched until I found the albums on vinyl. I'm looking forward to hearing the remastered recordings of her work. She could sing pop, rock, and country, equally well. Terry Gregory rules!!!
