Petards - 'Anthology' (Bear Family) 6-CD box set, July 27, 2006

I give it 4 1/2 stars.First off,I'd like to mention that I don't own a copy of this 6-CD box set.I merely borrowed a copy from a fellow patron.Thus so,I had time to listen to each CD just once,and I liked what I heard.If you'd like to maybe check out a short version of this 6-CD(whew!takes time to listen to this entire box set),you might want to see if you can locate a copy of their self-titled 1-disc anthology,ALSO on the Bear Family label(see my review).Total of 118 songs.Most of their tunes are well written and well played 'psychedelic pop',like "Baby,Run Run Run","She Didn't","Fire Tree","Roses For Kathy","Girl,Where You Going Now","Shoot Me Up To The Moon" and simply too many more to list here.Also liked their covers of John Fogerty's "Proud Mary" and the Stone's gem "Ruby Tuesday".If you got the ca$h and you enjoy this genre,you might want to obtain a copy of this import release.A definite should-have.
