The Most Complete Pilot Compilation,

If in the market for the best compilation of Pilot's four albums, I would recommend this compilation over Magic. While the latter does have a couple of songs not included here, it also neglects to represent Pilot's last album Two's a Crowd in any way, shape, manner, or form. That was one of Pilot's best albums, if not THE best, made only better by the re-recording that Ian Bairnson and David Paton produced in the form of Blue Yonder.You'll still get all of Pilot's biggest hits in the form of Magic, Just A Smile, and January. This is a good collection for the longtime fan as well as for those discovering Pilot for the very first time. For those intrigued by what they hear, I would whole-heartedly recommend Pilot's finest hour Blue Yonder as it is the most intimate listening experience of any of the group's studio releases. |
