This album is a MUST for you R and B appreciators. This is a great addition to anyones collection. Ahhhh the memories that are evoked listening to the soundtracks!

If you like old school I suggest you buy this hands down eyes closed!!!! very worth it

the item was received in a timely manner, and I was able to track the item during the shipping process. The cd was new, which was also a bonus. I started out ordering books for a book club I am in. They are in good condition, and a great savings. I will continue to order,and will share amazon with friends and family!

This CD is MUST HAVE !!!! if you're a true fan of ol' skool R and B. The Whispers delivers on this CD all the cuts are included here. With real voices and musical instruments YES I SAID MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS. With joints like " In The Mood" " Lady" and my all time favorite 'Say Yes" all will set the mood right when you're trying to get a little closer to your honey dip.

Grew up on the Power&Soul of the Whispers&the Music here is timeless.you get a Solid Balance of Slow Cuts&the Funk.many of there tracks are still Sampled to this Day."Lady","In the Raw","Keep On Lovin' Me" are my cuts.Props to a Group that still brings the Soul.

I like this group. I must say that this is a very nice compilation of the Whispers. This is a nice compilation set of the Whispers hits. This album contains some of my favorite Whispers songs. My mom used to listen to the Whispers when I was a kid and that is how I had learned to enjoy them. I got my love of music by listening to the music that she listened to when i was a kid. She still enjoys the Whispers today. This is a must have for any Whispers fan.

. . . as with most "Best Of's", you get all the hits (It's A Love Thang, Rock Steady, in this case) and the best of the rest - but what these collections lack is a thread, theme or continuity.

So, I find myself skipping around the disc constantly, looking only for the songs I like - which I rarely do with an artist's "regular" release. I tend to take those albums as complete statements and, as such, allow them to play through as I assume the artist intended.

Fortunately for the Whispers, they are consummate professionals, all of whom can sing - individually and with gorgeous harmonies. That makes this collection worth the price (for the most part).

My favorite - and one of the reasons I bought the CD - is a fairly obscure song from the early 80's called "Emergency". I'd have picked this one up just for that song alone - so all the other hits & generous helpings of pure vocal gravy are added bonuses.

Overall, not a bad collection. FYI: Disc 1 is for dancin'; disc 2 for romancin', so everything is nice and seperated for your listening pleasure.
